After Loss in Colorado, Donald Trump Supporters Give State Chairman an Earful
New York Times ^ | 4/11/2016 | Alan Rappeport

[Colorado Republican Party Chairman Steve] House acknowledged that there are a lot of deeply entrenched players within the party who think the system works well and believe that those who are the most politically engaged should determine who becomes the party’s presidential nominee.

I think it is appropriate that New York will be the state to make Cruz unable to make 1237.

Yes it is appropriate that the only State that ever ELECTED Hillary for anything, gives most of it's Delegates to Trump.

20,000+ in Albany today, plus the Border Patrol members for Trump!

Border Patrol Agents Demand GOP Provide “Free,Fair and Open Elections in America’

BreitBart ^ | April 11, 2016 | Brandon Darby and Alex Swoyer
Posted on 4/11/2016, 3:49:55 PM by bobsunshine

... In an exclusive statement to Breitbart News, the National Border Patrol Council wrote:
“In our March 30th endorsement statement of Donald J. Trump, we, the National Border Patrol Council called upon the American people to stand with border agents in support of Mr. Trump and his pledge to end illegal immigration. We fully expected that the will of the American electorate, whatever they decided in this primary, would be upheld. It is now clear that voters are being disenfranchised in order to protect established interests.

By cancelling the election in Colorado, the Republican Party has found a brand new way to disenfranchise voters who want secure borders and safe communities. Once again, the will of the public – who have pleaded for immigration enforcement – is being overridden by special interests with agendas. We see the same thing happening across the country, where delegates won by Mr. Trump – through a popular recorded vote – have made secret arrangements to support other candidates, thwarting the will of the millions of voters they collectively are supposed to represent. This is insidious.”

I’ve already told my elected representatives that if the GOPe continues on their path toward a contested convention I will not vote for any candidate with an R next to their name.

I called my congressman last week & told his office the same thing.

This election isn’t just liberal/conservative. It’s about nationalism vs globalism. You can have conservatives who are globalists. I’m ready to try conservatives who are nationalists.

I’m being sarcastic. I know there are Trump supporters in Colorado but I’ve been arguing with morons all day who act like what happened in Colorado was a shining example of an impeccably ethical process. You know, something that “the most principled candidate in the race” and the author of a book titled “A Time For Truth” would be proud of.

[Cruz is going after little delegate numbers]

Little delegate numbers add up.

Well Steve, the voters are kinda funny when it comes to actual elections. Arrogant little pr!cks that they are, they think it's THEIR decision.

But if you think you can have a party without voters, go for it. I can tell you that JEB! didn't do so well with that.

There were votes all along the way.

It’s a caucus/convention state and started with 60,000 registered republicans caucusing.

Yep! Thank you New York for taking out the trash. Cruz is cooked. In 3 weeks, trump will have 1100 delegates going into California...1200 June 7th. Oh Rubio! Trump is the nominee. Trump/Rubio walk into the white house January 2017. Cruz back to Texas to lose the senate seat in 2018. Perfect ending.

Ok if there were votes where is the record of the votes??

It should be easy to say how many were for Cruz, Kasich and Trump.

You can’t say there were zero votes for Kasich and Trump.

67% of the voters in South Carolina did not vote for Trump. Why did he get all 50 delegates? Why were they disenfranchised?

South Carolina is one of the winner-take-all states. Read more here: The Green Papers. Winner-take-all states have a more forceful influence on the national convention than proportional states.

Notice also that in the general election for President, if the winning candidate gets only 50.00001% of the vote, he gets 100% of the presidency.

the colorado caucus process is a sick, insider, anti-democratic joke. About half a dozen people show up for each precinct caucus, and “elect” people to attend county assemblies and Congressional district assemblies; the county assemblies “elect” people to the state convention. The CD and State assemblies then “elect” delegates, who are supposedly unbound.

A couple thousand people out of a population of 5 million participate.

if all registered republicans actually showed up, there wouldn’t be enough meeting rooms to hold them in the entire state and the caucuses wouldn’t ‘work’. in fact, the GOPe is counting on just a very, very, very few showing up. that’s why the reserved caucus rooms are always so very, very, very tiny.

family members who have children to take care of, meals to prepare, and work to prepare for don’t have time to waste on a meaningless process where party insiders are going to steal the whole thing at the end anyway.

on the other hand, colorado is a mail-in ballot state for ALL elections, so a few hundred thousand would have voted in an actual primary, whereas the caucuses were held on a weeknight when people have to take care of their families and then go to work the next day.

btw, if this is such a wonderful process, shouldn’t all of our elections for everything require everyone to show up at 7pm to 8pm on a Tuesday night in order to vote?

My dad was a life long Dem. I used to argue politics with him and he would tell me, “The Republicans only care about the rich, the Democrats are for the little guy”. I used to tell him the Democrats were phony and didn’t care about anything getting power through government.

Sadly, we were both right.

Not anymore:

This year, since the Colorado GOP canceled its traditional presidential preference poll, Super Tuesday will be a little less super for Republicans here when it comes to the presidential race. But Democrats who are feeling the Bern, or are #WithHer, have a long road ahead before their candidates win or lose— and this article is geared more toward them. For a Republican caucus primer, go here.

I wonder if anyone has contacted Tom Tancredo on this? I would be interested in why he ran under the Constitution Party for governor against Cickenpooper and took second place OVER the republican.

I would bet he locked horns with the crooks in the GOP in that state.
