Trump has rule 40 b . He and cruz are the only men that can be nominated. The Rule won’t be changed because it takes their delegates to approve the change on the floor of the convention!!. Won’t happen!! Trump beats cruz by 500 delegates . The other bound delegates supporting a loser are prohibited from voting. Rules Are Rules Dammit!! That’s the way it is!!
Please, if you don’t understand the system, please don’t try to lecture us on the “rules.” After the first ballot, Rule 40b does not apply because the delegates can vote for whomever they want. In other words, the delegates on the floor can change the rules by majority vote (or even acclamation).
God, I pray that Paul Manafort enforces all the standing convention rules with an iron fist and refuses to permit TPTB from perpetrating any underhanded chicanery.
While I have been dismayed at how ill-prepared and disorganized Trump’s campaign has proven to be vis-a-vis “Lyin’ Ted,” Trump still represents to me our last hope!! We are on the brink, economically and militarily. Trump has all the common sense solutions to address these times.
At this point, I am clinging to the fact that Trump will at least go into Cleveland as the frontrunner—and has selected the best man possible to back him up in Paul Manafort. Manafort’s appointment speaks volumes about how Trump can back up his claim of picking the finest negotiators to get the job done.
I wouldn't count those chickens just yet. Lyin' Ted is owned by Bush Inc. and if they tell him to release his delegates to change the rules at the convention, my guess is that he will.
I don't think even he or they are delusional enough to believe he could actually win the general election. His role has only been as a spoiler to keep Trump from doing so.

Various States’ laws require the bound delegates to vote for the candidate that won the State. Thus, on the first ballot, some delegates will have to vote for a “loser”. Other States have extended the bounding to the 2nd ballot and Florida went so far as to make it the 3rd ballot!
