I think de Blasio should right now keep a low profile given he may be heavily tied into a major corruption scandal now brewing at the New York Police Department (NYPD). If I were Hillary Clinton, I'd start to keep my distance from him, too.

Yes, it’s a very extensive scandal, well beyond NYPD and involves graft on a gigantic scale. A lot of the money that he obtained through this corruption went to three “non-profits” founded by him (which never did any work, from what can be determined) but which were actually a means for collecting funds for his - brace yourself - run for President.
