Whichever way the political winds shift, Springsteen is right there.
His major career markers have been examples of opportunistic bandwagon-jumping in order to sell records.
Born In the USA=Vietnam was baaaad, America is baaaad!
The Rising (post-9/11) = America is Good! Rise up Americans! Bush is our hero!
The Seeger Sessions (post Katrina tour) = Bush caused the levees to break! Bush’s fault!

At one point he even tried to go solo, and dumped the E-Street Band. When his record sales tanked, re-union time! Imagine that!
Jumping on the tranny bandwagon is just his latest attempt to sell records, but the idiot’s working class fan base won’t be following him onto this bandwagon. He’s over.
