Citing school records, an investigator reported that Wilson has been the subject of “102 disciplinary referrals, including striking another student, numerous disruptions, and possession of a dangerous implement.” As a result of that record, the teen has “served 31 in-school and 31 out-of-school suspensions.”

Before people ask why they don’t throw this punk out of school, let me remind you that schools do their best to hold onto every warm body, because that determines how much money they get from the state. Don’t let anyone tell you that government schools have anything to do with real education.
I thought after 10 days of suspension you get an expulsion hearing.
It was reported that the attack was so violent that authorities were forced to use pepper spray on Malik Wilson. What happened to the victim? Maybe the school officials should have thrown a bucket of water on the guy before the fight got out of hand.
One of the advantages of private schools over public schools is that problem students can be forced out. It only takes one student who can’t be disciplined to turn a classroom into a terrible experience for everybody there.
You or I would never have been able to continue disrupting and threatening other students at a public school after just 2 or 3 incidents like this. This perp is what prisons were made for.
I’ve got no sympathy for the little Black Lives Matter activist, but I’m curious; I thought everything he did before he turned 18 was supposed to be super-secret or something. I wonder why it was OK to include this in public records?

Sounds like he should have been expelled long ago, but this incident is not all that bad when we have had numerous mass shootings at schools.

This was not a regular school. This was an “alternative” school. From the article:
According to the Pinellas Secondary School web site, students are sent to the alternative school due to “zero tolerance infractions” at their home schools. It is the school’s desire that students eventually “return to their home school...in the pursuit of graduation.
So as I read this, the perp was at the day time version of juvenile detention center school and still got into a fight. I’m thinking that a traditional hickory haircut would do more than a bucket of water,
