Divorce rate is around 50%

Google it

What makes that less relevant is:

70-80% of blacks don’t marry

55% of Latinos

25% or less of whites and orientals

Cruz is a lawyer and he is now acting like one. He is weaseling himself into the election.

Cruz has got no choice but to steal the nom. The American people have overwhelming rejected Ted Cruz at the ballot box. 13% in OH, 16% in VA, 17% in FL, etc.

Only delusional Cruzies see that record in battleground states and imagine Ted Cruz the next POTUS. Not. Going. To. Happen.

All Cruz is doing is helping his GOPe colleagues he allegedly doesn’t belong to

They are stacking slates with unbounds

And they gave him non primary Colorado last night

It’s not Cruz cleverness

It’s his buddies

The point of pointing out the divorce rate is that that is where a lot of Americans experience the scumbag attorney no fairness. It was not to argue about the actual divorce rate.

All of this titter about Cruz stealing delegates for a second ballot at the convention is a bunch of hockey tock.

Trying to present the illusion of a race to fire up his few voters. It’s over. Trump won. All Cruz can do is steal the nom. It’s going to work because Trump got the votes. No Trump voters, no GOP.

"If Trump is smart he will offer Cruz Scalia’s spot. I would."

Actually, Trump is smart enough to know Ted is in reality just another Roberts in spite of his dog and pony show of being an "outsider". Face facts, when push comes to shove, Ted runs home to his pals in the GOPe elite and works all the underhanded angles he can find.

He's no Scalia, not by a long shot.

He cannot force people to vote for him unless of course he figures out a way to steal their general election ballots and votes for them. You never know. He may figure out how to do that too!

Actually we’ve already seen hints of what Cruz’s plan for the general would be. He knows nobody likes him outside of his 15%-20% of the GOP primary voting base. So he plans to run as the “Constitution protector”. How could you vote against the Constitution? Utterly delusional. Cruz will never be POTUS.

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything. Joseph Stalin

Cruz has a plan, a devious plan that certainly very few voters except the most rapid Cruzoids would support. I don’t know what it is, but clearly he has a plan to win on the FIRST ballot.

I don't know...I think he's pretty much sold out and is doing whatever the establishment wants him too. My personal opinion is that he's trying to keep this as nasty as possible to make Trump and possibly himself look totally unacceptable. At the convention he'll switch to whatever person the establishment wants him to support and encourage the thought the whole process has been sullied by Trump and they need a fresh face.

Cruz told the Colorado crowd earlier that it’s easy to talk about making America great again — “you can even print that on a baseball cap” — but that the more important question is which candidate understands “the principles and values that made America great in the first place.”

Does that mean getting in bed with and wildly fornicating and fluffing every establishment elitist he can get close to?

Wow he makes me sick. To think I bought his book “A Time For Truth”. I actually believed he was “the only principled candidate in the race”. He proved how stupid I was to believe him. Six months ago no one would have believed Cruz would be where he is right now - in bed with the GOP elite.

I’d like a refund on the book.

Cruz now openly talks of winning the nomination at the convention on the 2nd ballot or more. He no longer uses the pretense he can win at the ballot box. He’s a weasel of the highest order.

But hardly anyone in the country would consider Cruz after his back door GOPe deals and shenanigans with Carson and Trump delegates.

Cruz is a political walking dead man.
The GOP is a probable walking dead party depending on theft attempts at the convention. After all the backstabbing of Trump after many seasons of backstabbing the voters they will not survive.
The GOP may shoot themselves fatally this election and at the same time smile saying they’ve been playing by their ever changing rule book.

That would be the LAST thing he wins, just ask President Hillary which he would have gotten elected.

It would also be a lack of comprehension of what delegates are.

Trump delegates are Trump supporters. They are going to need convincing cause to change their votes form the guy they support. Same with Cruz delegates, Kasinich delegates, Rubio delegates...

Delegates are obligated, but generally not required, to support the guy they support. It only comes into play where oddball stuff happens - like a late dropout, or no majority. Once a majority is actually had, traditionally everyone votes for the winner to make it symbolically unanimous.

That *in theory* the delegates can change their minds really only serves to keep the candidates in line past the convention vote, to the extent that is needed.

Delegates aren’t theoretical constructs owned by the Illuminati. They are people who were primarily selected based on their support for the candidate they support. They have to be convinced to do otherwise.

Similarly, with the Electoral College, Electors have been free to switch since the first Federal election. In the last century, only a handful have done so, and that both after the result was a foregone conclusion, and then simply as a gesture to make a point, like reversing the President/VP order.

If there is such switching to go on, it is because no candidate has achieved a majority, or other such special circumstance - like If the candidate suddenly ticked off his delegation.
