The suicide bomber who blew up a youth soccer match late last month left barely a dent in the hard, dry earth, and only a faint scorch on a concrete wall nearby.
But he gouged a chasm of grief in the heart of the small community that lost more than two dozen of its sons in a single moment, at 6:15 on the evening of March 25.
A total of 43 people died in the bombing at the game, according to figures provided by the local government. Of those, 29 were boys younger than 17 who had either been participating in the match or watching their friends play.

I can’t agree with that. Cockroaches will also always be there, but if you live in a city apartment you can either do nothing and let them infest and overrun it or you can fight like hell and hold them at bay.
Western civilization can either fight Islam or submit to it. What we’ve done in Iraq and the entire Middle East and what we’re doing with our immigration policy is the equivalent of leaving open bags of garbage out in a Manhattan apartment.
Leaving “a few thousand” troops in Iraq wouldn’t have stopped the formation of ISIS.
Whatever Bush2 did in Iraq only stirred the crap pot. Same with Afghanistan.

On August 6, 1945 at 7:45 AM, while the Enola Gay was still on the way to Hiroshima, we had already killed 2 million Japanese soldiers and sailors, killed over a million civilians, burned central Tokyo to the ground along with Nagoya, Yokohama, Kobe, and Osaka, and sunk 686 ships of the Japanese Navy as well as 2,346 merchant ships.
AND, after Hiroshima, they STILL didn't want to surrender.
The twin nuclear attacks on Japan put a period on the massive, unprecedented military and civilian destruction visited on them from 1942-1945. But those two attacks did not end the war on their own. If Hiroshima had been bombed on December 8, 1941, the war would not have ended.
The sad thing is that that "magic number" wasn't too big in 2001, and our weakness, cowardice, and stupidity has multiplied it more than an hundredfold since then.
