Potty Talk: The Tyranny of the .03 Percent
Townhall.com ^ | April 9, 2016 | Joy Overbeck

Posted on 04/09/2016 8:24:40 AM PDT by Kaslin

It was very late at night in a nearly-deserted airport and I was alone in the bathroom when a man walked in. Or maybe just a person who looked like a man, dressed like a man, walked like a man, and had a man’s haircut. As I washed my hands I looked up and casually observed, “Oh, I think you’re in the wrong bathroom.” He or she gave me a frozen glare and an angry, sarcastic retort: “No – YOU’RE in the wrong bathroom!”

The gender-nonspecific person headed for the stalls and I headed out the door. He or she was taller, larger, and more muscular than I and so I scrammed, feeling threatened. This happened a few years ago in a big city U.S. airport. Back at the lounge area, I awaited whatever creative new lies the airline desk staff could come up with to explain why my flight was several hours late.

Though it was years ago, this odd encounter came freshly to mind with all this potty talk in the news recently. Was the angry person in the rest room “transitioning” to male but out of habit still felt only at home in the women’s bathroom, perhaps trying to avoid the visual giveaway of girly equipment at a urinal? Or was this a guy who decided to go adventuring in the ladies’ room?

Studies find only three-tenths of one percent of the population are transgendered persons who refuse to accept their “birth assignment” which is to say they rebel against the sex that God or nature bestowed upon them. They want to be the opposite sex. But far fewer go in for that irreversible surgery snip. They like to keep their options open in case they want to reverse course, stop the hormone injections, and play for the other side again. So how authentic really is their commitment to transgenderism or are they just sampling the deep end of the pool?

Most of these people are “assigned” male but long to be female. And now state laws increasingly give them the “right” to choose whatever bathroom or even shower room corresponds to the gender with which they “identify” on any given day. Because, you understand, they’re a protected class, unlike actual women.

So growing your hair long and wearing makeup, stiletto heels and cute outfits allows someone like Bruce aka Caitlyn Jenner to invade the ladies room and the privacy of the women there. They can call themselves transgender even though many of these individuals, like Jenner, don’t feel female enough to part with their boy parts. It’s true that ladies have much cooler clothes than men, and I’m sure there was epic wardrobe pressure in the Jenner household with all those stylish women. I wonder how much an irresistible attraction to opposite sex fashion motivated Caitlyn.

And I have some more questions. How do you tell a transgender man who wears women’s clothes from a transvestite who wears women’s clothes if they both have their guy equipment? Bruce/Caitlyn says he/she is still attracted to women: so is she/he a lesbian? And what’s to prevent a high school boy who identifies as a female showering with the girls after gym class – literally every adolescent male’s fantasy. Wouldn’t disallowing his gender identity choice be discriminatory? There’ve already been some bad choice incidents.

* A Palmdale, California man wearing women’s clothing and a wig was arrested in a Macy’s store after he was seen in a women’s bathroom where he was allegedly videotaping women for several hours.

* In October 2015, Breitbart Texas reported on an illegal alien who was caught filming women in a Walmart bathroom in San Angelo, Texas. He was sentenced to 270 days in jail and was subsequently turned over to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement for deportation.

* At a Seattle Parks and Recreation pool, a man undressed in a women’s locker room, citing a new state rule that allows people to choose a bathroom based on gender identity. Women called staff who told the man to leave, but he said “the law has changed and I have a right to be here.”

Here’s a word we don’t hear much anymore: wrong. This insanity is simply wrong. The war on women has moved into the ladies room. Women are actually a majority in this nation and we have every right to feel safe and unthreatened in our bathroom. As women are the ones most likely to object, we’re already being called bigots for not wanting to share our bathrooms with men of whatever gender persuasion.

Now that homosexuals (a mere 3 to 4 percent of the population) have managed to mainstream themselves via sweet and sympathetic TV characters, same-sex “marriage”, the White House lit up in gay rainbows, and bullying cake-bakers, florists, and even pastors into submission, gayness is so passé. They’ve won the battle to be “normal.” So the next big “equal rights” movement is transgenderism and bathroom equality.

PayPal, the online payment company, already retaliated against North Carolina when Governor Pat McCrory signed a bill banning people from using bathrooms that don’t match their birth gender. They nixed plans to build a new center in Charlotte that would have employed over 400 workers. Scolded CEO Dan Schulman, “The new law perpetuates discrimination and violates the values and principles at the core of PayPal’s mission and culture.” Yes, the very exalted mission of allowing men into women’s bathrooms.

Under the banner of non-discrimination and non-judgmentalism, the homosexual lobby has for years been indoctrinating school kids with gender-bending messaging that reaches them at the very time in their lives that they are likely to have a crush on their closest same-sex friend. It’s an easy matter to convince them their attachment means they’re gay, even though same-sex attraction at that age is perfectly normal.

"Gender identity disorder" or transgenderism was an illness when it first appeared in the official Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders used by mental health professionals in 1980. But predictably the most recent version of the manual, published in 2013, diluted it to "gender dysphoria," (a state of dissatisfaction, anxiety) removing the disorder stigma but still recognizing mental health problems ensue when someone "whose gender at birth is contrary to the one they identify with."

Similarly, homosexuality officially “evolved” in the Manual from a disorder to the “progressive” view that it is a healthy variation of human sexual orientation, although some professionals still maintain it’s a disorder. In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder. The American Psychological Association Council of Representatives followed in 1975 but the laggard World Health Organization didn’t get on trend until 1990.

Those who rant that gender identity is fixed and immutable have a lot to answer for. Such as: why are men suddenly gay when they’re in prison and just as suddenly return to heterosexuality when they go home to their families? Why do some men and women marry, have a gaggle of kids, and then in their 50s or 60s decide they were actually homosexual all along? Why does Dr. Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, say gender dysphoria is a psychosocial ailment that should be treated through psychotherapy and counseling since there’s scant proof that sex change surgery works and it’s only undertaken “for an ideological reason”?

Here we go again. Transgender is the new gay. Expect award-winning TV shows and films in which heroic transgender individuals are the saviors of doomed planets. But guys, we know who you are. We can see your beard stubble very clearly through your makeup. Stay out of our bathrooms.

Even if the homo crowd (including trannies) really is 10% of the pop

And we all know it's really like 1.5% or at most, 2.

Without all the propagandizing it would be like 0.5%. It's not a genetic trait, it's a mental illness.

So the ‘open minded’ amongst us conservatives thought that if we ONLY gave them their gay marriage, they would simply say thank you and disappear.

LOL - they smell blood now and are showing it.

Many have and they have lost.

Case A: On the web. Women from a national gym club demands the cross-dresser man not be allowed in the women’s locker room. She complains to management and insights other members to inform management of their disapproval.
Result: Her gym membership is cancelled. The dude gets to stay. She sues the gym for loss of membership. Final outcome, unknown.

Case B: From the 7PM news. Similar to A. Large 270 pounder is found repeatedly in women’s gym locker room. He arrives dressed as a male and enters the men’s locker room. He exits into the pool area and uses the pool entry to the women’s bath room and shower area. He then enters the handicapped stall where he changes from men’s attire into women’s pink midriff and tight shorts attire. He’s built like a Santa s Claus, but stuffed in a bikini with long stringy grey hair and pink lipstick.

Women scream and yell for the management several times a month. Management is well aware of the situation. Their explanation is that he has presented a letter from his attorney. It states that he is now a woman and shall not be subjected to any form of harassment or he will pursue legal action. He legally changed his driver’s license to ‘Female’ and this allows him women’s rights. The business does not want a lawsuit. They have done nothing to protect the 99.99% of the other women and girl’s safety or modesty standards.

Case C. Same national gym chain as Case B, but 2,000 miles away. 6’3” man dresses as 1950’s cheerleader. He spends 90% of his gym time with his crotch fully exposed. He is either in a handstand or backbend in the center of the gym blocking the aisle ways in front of the treadmills. Sometimes he brings his mini-me cross-dresser teenage son along and they perform together. It is unknown whether they use the men’s or women’s facilities. But they are allowed to block the general walkways on a regular basis.

If a person has XX chromosomes, they are FEMALE...
If they have XY chromosomes, they are MALE...
It doesn’t matter how many operations they’ve had, what clothes they wear, how they cut their hair...What they THINK they are...

I agree basically, but modern genetics complicates the simple XX XY
construct. Their are some people with more or less or damaged chromosomes. Therefore the more acceptable statement would be:

If a person has only X chromosomes they are FEMALE.
If a person has a Y chromosome or multiple Y chromosomes, or a fragment of a Y chromosome they are MALE.

Excuse me for nitpicking, but I can assure you the LGBTXYZ crowd and their supporters know about the above and more.

LGBTXYZ? Have you left out necrophiliacs? They have feelings too. This is part of the fundamental transformation. The left is seeing just how far they can go. With the media and academia they have made great progress. American views of homosexuality illustrate just how effective their brainwashing methods are.

“Could the author have actually been in the men’s room? Happened to me once.”

I was having a crazy day at work and walked into the ladies bathroom. There were several women in there and they just looked at me and started laughing. I could feel my face going neon red.

who refuse to accept their “birth assignment”

"Sex" is not assigned at birth, it is created at conception.

And nouns, not people, have "gender".

There are Kleinfelter (XXY) males and Turner (XO) females, but, as you should know, that's not what the so-called "transgender" phenomenon is about.

Guess I did. No N in my acronym. Agree with you.

The basic problem with our culture is the forgetting of the ability of the human person to gain sexual self mastery and the the first step in that is recognizing that almost all persons at one time or another have attractions different from usual heterosexual ones. In general, people used to accept that as part of flawed human nature and condition, ignore it or as used to be said, “do something else” and eventually it goes away or recedes or you just live with it, but do not act on it. Of course there were always a few who give in, but they were considered “weak” and were ridiculed or worse. Such treatment of something that needed help produced sympathy and now we are in a mess.

These days if you are attracted to something conventional wisdom holds that you must not ignore it, but welcome it as who you really are. Then act on it and start a physiological “habit”. Then keep on acting on it and soon you are what you do. And society has to put up with it and celebrate it and soon we crumble.

My S-I-L lives in Mississippi along with my other In Laws.

She called me and asked what I thought of the new Religious Freedom Law, but she didn't call it that. Yes, she has become somewhat Liberal, but I blame it on her newest Husband. LOL

I replied that I supported a Law preventing Men from going into Women's Bathrooms and protected People from being fined and sued for refusing to Bake Cakes for Gay Weddings.

I also made a point to her that you never read of a Muslim Bakery being singled out for not participating in a providing a Cake for a Gay Marriage Ceremony.

She said, I guess we have nothing to talk about then. She lives in Natchez, and there is a huge population of Gays living there. Everyone gets along fine and they always have.

Since I often go there to visit, I am acquainted with a few Gay People that are friends of the In Laws. They are typical Southerners, very nice hard working Individuals. Their lifestyle CHOICE is never an issue simply because most People there are private and reserved. Live and let live is the order of the day, not pushing their Lifestyle on others. If the Gay Community didn't continue to push the envelope we wouldn't be here today. First they wanted Tolerance, then Acceptance. Now any non traditional behavior is a Civil Right and must be accommodated at all costs. This is what has triggered the implementation of these Religious Rights Laws, but the people opposed refuse to take any responsibility.

The Myth that a Gay person would be treated badly in the South continues, but it is a false premise, same as how Blacks are treated there. People just live their lives.

Jump in there, Liz. Self-government requires self-involvement. Let your state rep, state senator, local officials know your thoughts. If they’re on the wrong side of this, lambast them at town halls. Help their opponents.
