Trump’s getting trounced in Indiana
Politico ^

Posted on 04/09/2016 7:20:55 AM PDT by Durbin

Indiana hasn’t cast its ballots for president yet, but Donald Trump is already losing.

Republican Party insiders in the state will select 27 delegates to the national convention on Saturday, and Trump is assured to be nearly shut out of support, according to interviews with a dozen party leaders and officials involved in the delegate selection process. Anti-Trump sentiment runs hot among GOP leadership in Indiana, and it’s driving a virulent rejection of the mogul among likely delegates.

Except the voice of the voters isn't included. Ted's devious “earning” of delegates actually disenfranchises we-the-people. That is what the democrats do - not supposed to be conservatives doing that. Ted does it with glee and Ted's supporters think it's great.

Politico + one of FR’s local Trump-haters = another thread about blah-blah-blah.

When Cruz won Iowa, Trump supporters pointed out that it was about delegates, and in the grand scheme of things, Cruz' close win in Iowa wasn't that big a deal, that he would just be another Santorum.

Delegates do matter, and properly organized campaigns meet filing deadlines, line up good people at the state level, and see through the delegate selection process after the primary when appropriate.

A lot of the appeal of Trump was his self-funding and willingness to use his own resources and business acumen to do this properly.

He hasn't done that. The people he has on staff haven't done that.

If Trump can get his 1,237 delegates, and either seeks funding or uses his own to do it RIGHT, I'll go with him as the nominee, but he must be willing to "Go big or go home."

Party insiders hate Trump and are expected to happily support Cruz. Thanks, that clarifies a few things.

Why not post favorable articles about Trump yourself where you can rah-rah-rah, rather than going waaah-waaah-waaah about what others post?

It’s the other way around. Cruz is using the GOPe and he will leave them at the alter.

I’ve read several articles stating similar conclusions. I’m in SB and believe what this one says to be essentially correct.

You Trump supporters better start realizing that just because an article doesn’t say wonderful things about Trump or his prospects doesn’t neccessarily mean it’s a conspiracy.

Its how the process works. Trump had every chance to do what Cruz is doing, he just didn’t know to do it. Can’t blame the Trump organization’s ignorance on Cruz.

Trump’s top brass in Indiana is Rex Early, the former Indiana GOP Chairman who worked on the Reagan and Dole campaigns.

Rex Early isn't exactly an outsider.

The will of the people? What people the minority? Only way the will of the people is ignored is if the someone gets to 1237 then he’s not the nominee. There Euless existed BEFORE anyone ran and they didn’t complain about then.

“Well I guess Trump should just give it up and drop out of the race. Being in a the winning position and all. :-)”

Well, the dear leader has already said that it is a shame that he has to keep on campaigning and not have us just give him the nomination.

“Isn’t it a shame that the person who will have by far the most delegates and many millions more votes than anyone else, me, still must fight”

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 9, 2016

Us Cruz peons just don’t know our place. Inflated ego in a man just doesn’t do justice to our dear Leader!

Yes. Trump chooses to isolate himself. Not Cruz’s fault.
