Theres a recurring question among the Republicans gathering in Colorado at state and local conventions to choose delegates this week: "Wheres Donald Trump?"
Colorado is a rare state where party officials choose delegates without any input from a primary or caucus vote. The bulk of the states 37 delegates will be picked at a series of congressional district conventions on Friday and a state convention on Saturday in Colorado Springs. Prospective delegates can run as unaffiliated free agents or pledge to back a candidate.
"There just doesnt seem to be any Trump organization at all, to be honest," Dick Wadhams, a former Colorado GOP chairman, told MSNBC. "I do think that Cruz has an advantage going into this convention on Saturday."

The only stealing would be if the nomination is handed to someone who a majority of the people voted against. That’s how Al Franken won his Senate seat.
Cruz won his Senate seat in Texas because he lost to Dewhurst but Dewhurst got under 50%, so a run-off was held, which Cruz won. That is the correct, fair, democratic process at work.
If Trump goes in without a majority of delegates, the correct, fair, democratic process is to let the delegates have that second ballot and continue until a majority decides on a candidate.
You realize these are talking points for the GOP establishment don't you?
Do you realize Cruz has the whole entire GOP establishment apparatus at his disposal?
Cruz has very little chance of getting the nomination outright and now it is down to trying to steal the nomination. Does it not bother principled conservatives that The Big Steal is on? Or does the ends justify the means????

This is the larger point, precisely.
I’ve told you before, I don’t trust anything you post since you failed to understand we are a Constitutional Republic.

So quit posting to me.

You couldn't be more right. Trump looks like an ignorant jackass when he gets up on stage and people can compare him to a great American like Cruz. But, thankfully, Trump is doing a good job of going on TV and accomplishing putting his foolishness on display to the public in interviews. His lack of qualifications to run a campaign or a government and his lack of commitment to consistent principles is so stark that it's obvious when he's up there by himself without even needing to have someone else there to compare him to.
I’m not going to take into account any of your requests if you continue to lie about my perfect understanding of our Constitutional Republic.
Steal the nomination? You mean get more delegates, kinda like every presidential contender needs to do in their respective political parties for...oh...only the entirety of American history? Is that what you mean?
Face it, Trump's presidential campaign operation sucks. He has gotten this far by insulting, bullying, belittling and otherwise trashing any candidate and any person he thinks might get in his way. That is a sure fire way to alienate.....well, everyone but his core supporters. So yeah, other than Trump's immediately minions, all other factions of the party from true ideological conservatives to squishy moderates are going to oppose and try to block him - and good on them.
Trump is reaping what he's sewn. Good luck trying to get the nomination on the second or third ballot lol.
>Cruz won his Senate seat in Texas because he lost to Dewhurst but Dewhurst got under 50%, so a run-off was held, which Cruz won. That is the correct, fair, democratic process at work.
Did Cruz hand pick the voters for that run off, too? If so I’m not surprised he won.
You fail to forget, there is a search function and our replies are archived. The bolded part is not what you told me originally. I don't know why you said that, other than being a good troll.
Here is the link: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3405467/posts?page=1582#1582
And here is what you said: "The rest of us have formed our values and looked for a candidate who shares them. Trump supporters have found a candidate whose personality they like and shifted all their beliefs to be in line behind whatever he says. Thats the way leaders have taken hold in most countries throughout history. America was supposed to be different, a democracy where leaders followed the dictates of the people. Trump supporters want a very different country from traditional America. They want a strongman President who does all their thinking for them.
I explained why you were wrong where "leaders following the dictates of the people" is pretty much mob rule and we are NOT set up that way. You also can't "leaders follow the dictates of the people" if it tramples on our God-given rights.
It's Constitutional Conservatism 101 and you should have known that unless you are some kind of troll pretending to be a conservative, that is why I don't trust any of your posts. So I'll ask again, not to post to me again.

Well, it’s true, Cruz has very little chance at getting the nomination outright.
He’ll have to rely on the whole GOP establishment apparatus to try to steal this thing.
NONE of that falls on conservative principles but continue to justify the means to an end.

If you borrow enough, you become a partner. To my bank, I am just a number and not even a phone no. No matter how much you may identify with Trump, the fact is that you and he live in entirely different worlds.
You speak of Trump's delegate management operation? I'm sure he is anxious for improvements.
If Trump cant win in accordance with the rules laid down back last summer, then is steal the right way to think of it? What they are doing is to try to expel him from a club he already belongs to and whose rules he agreed to follow. If he comes as close to the nomination as Ronald Reagan did in 1976 but cant find a way to get a majority, then he has a right to be bitter but thats life. They ganged up on Reagan even more than they have on Trump, except little of it was out in the open. But unlike with Reagan, what they have against Trump is almost entirely personal. All I can do is hope that they are as much wrong about Trumps capabilities as they were about Reagans.
No not really as a 40 year veteran of the Banking Industry we treat the really rich just the same as you. If you have collateral, cash flow and and good credit you get the loan. Banks are in business to lend money. If they don’t lend money they go under. Everybody wants to loan money to DJ Trump because the colleratal is so good. They pray he doesn’t make the payments.
So you can blather on about this but you are unknowing and totally wrong about it. Pick something negative to say about Trump that might be true.
Yes, I will label it steal because otherwise, Cruz has very little chance at the nomination outright. People can nuance it all they want and justify it all they want but it is still stealing and WRONG.
The great thing about Trump getting the nomination is that means pretty much the end of our corrupt GOPe (you know, the GOPe and their whole nationwide apparatus that has gotten behind Cruz to try to steal this thing).
The end of the GOPe means we can actually start building for a real opposition party to the statism that is killing this country off. Now, Trump can’t do this alone and whether he succeeds in doing what he says or not, it is still a long road to haul to get this country back on track.
If we work to get a real opposition party to the corrupt status quo, that will be great for at least a chance of saving this country.
Cruz is allowing the GOPe and their nationwide apparatus to try to steal this thing so I have absolutely no trust in him to try to save this country from the corrupt statism.

Wrong. And wrong again
Nah. The rules are the rules. Nobody is breaking the rules. Cruz is earning them according to the rules, and he’s not “cheating” to earn them.
Judge Janeean very confused tonight about the RNC makeup, insisted against the facts that the Committee members are “appointed” not elected. I Voted for Vera Ortagen this afternoon in Colorado and she won most of the 3900 delegates votes. Anyone can run, ALL candidates for the National Committee representing Colorado took the pledge to NOT change rule 40 or the mandatory majority rule (1,237). In SOME states, there are appointments, but not in caucus states.
The idea that “the establishment” is going to parachute someone in at Cleveland is delusional, the delegates (Who must ratify the rules by majority vote) are NOT going to stand for changing rule 40. Ditto the majority rule, though sometimes it seems Donald wants to change that rule (”...if I’m close but can’t make it .. .blah blah blah”)
I was at the Colorado Convention today, TrumpTeam was next to invisible, did not do the very basic organizing required. Cruz was amazing, looks like he took everything in Colorado. ,,,,18 more delegates coming out of Wyoming as well, where Trump hasn’t got traction at all.
