I agree with the article. Just imagine the same platform, but a candidate that doesn’t use twitter. His name is Pat Buchanan.

“read the whole post it will make a lot more sense”

Yeah, it did, but we don’t have an alternative “messenger,” if one is really needed. The basic problem with Trump is that his message includes some pain for all of us, and people today want to continue to think this is still the “land of milk and honey!”

And their vote is worth just as much as ours.

We really don’t have a lot of good options right now, strategically. We must smash the existing establishment in order to make progress on any issue, so that has to be the first priority. Otherwise they’ll be standing in the way forever and we’ll never get anything done.

So to that end I’ll accept any number of flaws in a messenger, as long as he’s genuinely not part of the establishment club.

By my assessment, the candidates we had this year that were not part of the club were Trump, Paul, and Carson. The rest were all serving the same master. Carson was way out of his league and it was obvious. Paul didn’t have the killer instinct necessary to get the job done.

If we do nothing or fail to remove them, they will grind us into dust with relentless economic and political repression. We’re most of the way there already, and a great many people have nothing at all left to lose.

Trump may not win the nomination, but the issues he has raised will have to be addressed.

By WHO?!?!?! The GOP? BWAHAHAHAHAHA After election day, politicians AND the party have no use for us underlings. They may talk some, but care little about our needs, wants or desires.....except when they want to hit us up for more $$$$$$$. Didn't the 2014 election teach you anything?

Your whole post was very thoughtfully laid out and I believe to be the accurate scenario. It seems to me that we are witnessing the same thing with “so-called conservatives” who have the “my way or the highway” approach to voting as we have seen in recent years when the GOPe anointed candidate is foisted off on the Republican electorate. They are almost as bad as the welfare recipients on the Left, in that they can see no way to ANY flexibility. They would rather see the country continue to teeter on the brink of going under because the “right person” isn't on the ballot. And their pure hatred for those with whom they disagree is on display every day here on FR. I Eff with them just to see their temps go up. The get unhinged at the slightest provocation. They are small thinkers who see this as “conservatism” against the world, when it is, as you point out, a battle to remove the power brokers who use the GOP as their own private political party. If we were to elect a real conservative as president (and that would not be Ted Cruz) we would still be stifled at every turn by the big money folks whose interest is only in insuring their continued gravy train of wealth at the expense of the rest of us. Ronald Reagan had GHWB foisted on him by the GOPe. He was a “big money plant” who saw to it as best he could, in conjunction with the GOPe Congress that the stuff Reagan wanted to do that didn't fit with their personal agendas, didn't happen. Reagan would have had an even greater presidency if this matter of the GOPe had been successfully dealt with at the outset.

At some point you have to sit back and marvel at the sheer ingenuity of all these anti-Trump writers.

In this election cycle probably 10,000 stories have been written to destroy Trump.

Each story takes a slightly different tack.  Some stories hit hard.  Others are more subtle pieces, often with a clever headline, that lure the unsuspecting reader in. But sooner or later, each writer finds a way to hit home with his jab.

The myth is that the hundreds of writers trying to destroy the Trump candidacy are free agent thinkers.  On the contrary, they are obedient salarymen.  Behind every writer, there is a publisher.  And behind every publisher there is an advertiser or donor who demands results.

Amazingly enough, the Trump movement continues to roll and gather steam across the country.

Fortunately We the People can see through the relentless pundit lies — and the fierce attacks with alphabetic bayonets.

What a silly premise! Trumpism comes from the genuine article. Others don’t have the balls to be and say what Trump is and says.

You go to the election with the candidates you have.

Interesting article, mostly speculation with a touch of #antitrump thrown in. Author doesn't appear willing to fight the globalist battle if Trump is the general.

Oh, they get addressed alright. Plenty of talk to fool the rubes, and then resolution. The con has been going on for all of our lifetimes.

Ted Cruz or Scott Walker may be the closest we will get this election.

Not even close.

“Donald Trump is a singularly unlikable individual. While he has charisma and obvious ability, his refusal to think before he speaks, his arrogant demeanor, and his generally less-than-winsome personality combine to make him one of the least liked public figures in America...”

That describes the best, and most positively effective, bosses and top managers I’ve worked with/for. Sure, you can get someone who is universally likable, over-thinks every situation (”perfect is the enemy of good”), is Uriah Heep-ish with feigned humility, and is diabetes-inducing winsome, but then you’ve lost the characteristics of a kick-ass do-er and problem solver.

Someone once told me, “A person’s greatest asset is his greatest fault.” Trump is all those negative things, but they turn positive to create an effective leader.
