No.
Will these people ever actually deliver some cars? This elio thing has been going on for years.
EXCEPT, THIS might be better and it's already on the road. Albeit not at 84mpg!
They’ve been saying “next year” for quite some time and that appears to be still what they are saying. They claim that they will build (and sell to fleet customers), 100 preproduction “cars” forth quarter this year and build real cars next year.
I am going to put down a $100 deposit on one. I figure it time to part with my Honda Shadow 1100 after this summer and go with something a bit safer and more comfortable.
If this was an electric car, they’d be rolling in government money.
I admire the guy for trying to figure out a PRACTICAL solution. The cars have a number of shortcomings (like being orange), but they are built using time-tested technology.
You got that right. I’d love one of those.
I too would like one. However it will be a cold day in Hell before I give up my two wheels for one. But I see how great commuter car here. Just think an automobile that might be fun to drive, something I have never owned. Even if it only gets 2/3 of the advertised MPG, it would be fun commuter AND you would have something to bitch about.
By the way the Polaris Slingshot is classified as a motorcycle in Arizona. I have seen several around and about. Looks like another fun commuter.
Hey,I’d consider buying one if the company ever gets viable.
Can you get one with A/C?
Cool - but costs 3x’s as much.
” Albeit not at 84mpg!”
And definitely not at $6800!
Yes, A/C is standard.
upchuck: All in, reservation number 6656.
No thanks!
Where’s your sense of adventure? LoL!
I just got a 2016 Tahoe, that’s what I like! I can take as much stuff as I like, all. 4 of my dogs and go anywhere!
So your life has gone to the dogs, eh?
The Elio comes in your choice of seven colors: True Blue, Marshmallow, Red Hot, Rocket Silver, Sour Apple, Licorice, and Creamsicle.
