I used to think there were too many lawyers, now I think there’s too many scientists.

I would take the dogs out in the yard, kick back and crank up the stereo and wait.

No fan of slow death, am I.

Remember the scene, the evening after they had cleared the prison yard. Darryl’s on watch, Carol brings him some chow and asks him if he “wants to fool around”?
His response, “Pfffft.”
Maybe his appeal is like a boy band member, a non-threatening young male?
But I said to my wife, ‘Odd, he doesn’t seem gay.’
He did seem to dig Aaron.

Actually it’s too many lawyers who *think* they’re scientists.

And most of them work for the EPA, NASA, NOAA, OSHA and the CDC.

Awesome!

Crazy...36 years later and I *still* get goosebumps when this starts up.

The producers are just messing with us. Notice how scorned Rosita followed him into the woods. Now if he can't find a reason to cozy up to her, then there's no hope for him.

My in the wind comment was aimed at running down the highway at about 80 to greet the oncoming firestorm.

As I told another poster earlier, I’ll go out and buy that new Guzzi Eldorado so I can meet it in style.

No need to worry about the payments.....

Yeah, I know but I have the dogs to consider.

I could not let them go alone.

Wagner was/is amazing. I tend to migrate towards the Russians, but both Wagner and Beethoven are my German preferences.

Grieg, Wagner and Orff are the only opera I can stand.

Unless you count spaghetti westerns, then throw in Morricone.

:)

Doesn’t matter if it’s true or not.

If something that big happens, all the planning on the planet (short of leaving it) won’t do anyone a bit of good.

I for one will just put out the “Welcome Jesus” mat.

I have told you my tales of ‘where I live’ and my dad’s futile bunker building.

Better to just step out and go to your God.

“My daughter wants to know for sure because it’s 1:16am here and she’s just finishing her homework. She won’t bother anymore if we’re all going to die soon.”

True story

The day before the Mayan calendar predicted the end of the world a guy called me at the reference desk in the university library where I worked. He wanted to know what time in Guam time was this supposed to happen. I asked him why he needed to know that and he said “My wife wants me to go to a Christmas party where she works and I hate her boss. I was just wondering if maybe I won’t have to go.”

I tried to look it up but the best I could do was to tell him that unfortunately since we are on the other side of the international dateline from Mexico our destruction had to wait until the following day.

A good friend gave me Crash & Burn. A gesture of honor ;) I still have the vinyl. But for tonight, your link works!

By any chance, were you into Robin Trower?

O.M.G.

Bridge of Sighs was one of the most amazing albums, ever.

I have all this stuff on my 160g iPods.

You would *love* my playlists.

:D
