Google maps only show 3, two north and one east central near the major freeway. I didn't have a good sense of how Staten island fit into the map puzzle if you will. Southwest of Manhattan. It's a little bigger than I had thought.

If there are nine, maybe they are schools and lesser meeting places. Google maps shows photos of the three.

I was actually there once, on the ferry. Turned right around and went back, wanted to ride the ferry.

Looked again, and now it shows 5 of one sort or another. Also 5 more across the bay in Brooklyn. They are like forts on the old frontier.

When I typed on Staten Island mosques a long while back, I didn’t notice they included bayonne and Brooklyn.
