It is truly sad to see how far FreeRepublic has fallen in the last decade - from blasting liberals and socialist for their lies, schemes, bending of facts, or just plain "making it up" to create trash to sully decent folks (particularly their Republican opponents)... use to be, FR was mostly a site where thinking people assembled with genuine interests in finding the truth - and even when folks disagreed, for the most part, things remained relatively peaceful - and sometimes we just agreed to disagree.

Now, here we are in 2016, and a whole block of FR posters (I can't bring myself to call them "FReepers, as they really don't deserve the honorary title) are just as willing to buy into lies and engineered garbage, but even more disappointing, is that it in an effort to support a man who has a lifetime of supporting the LEFT - with even recent socialist statements and positions - and who is playing them like a cheap fiddle...

The date 9/16, highlighted in the screencap, is where multiple calls were made to various hotels. Blogger The Marshall Report claims the numbers are Cruz’s private numbers.

So - the calls in the record are to various hotels (in Texas), but are, simultaneously Ted Cruz's private phone number? Hmmm... I'm confused (maybe I'm simple minded) - but how many folks have private numbers that are at the same time the number for a hotel?

Then again - facts are not really all that important - especially when you have an agenda to push.

And by the way - I am fairly certain Ted Cruz is not perfect. But by the same token - I have yet to see a shred of plausible evidence that any of the affair claims of Trump and company against Cruz are genuine. Only rumors (spread by Trump's chief political advisor???) - and this supposed "document drop" of a phone record that has supposedly been online since 2007?

By the way - how many wives has Trump bought over the years? Not to mention his braggart attitude about "all the beautiful women... the best women" he has slept with... The man gets a girl (hey - the best money can buy) - and when he gets tired of her, he finds a new one, THEN divorces the old one... and repeat the process... Not to mention all the other women he's kept as "concubines" (for a lack of better term).

Sigh... I pray you all (who are members of the Trump cult) don't get your man - a man who loves Planned Parenthood, loves ludeness, loves pornography, loves to buy politicians, and is a best-bud of Hillary Clinton (and shared the majority of her extreme leftist agenda all thew ay until he filed to run in the GOP primaries).

The last decade the cons have joined hand in hand with leftist. Look at the budget. We are 19 trillion dollars in debt. No border control. And you rag and whine like a two year old that did not get her teddy bear.

I am often truly amazed at the stupidity of your typical GOP voter. They almost always vote the way they are told to vote by the establishment and it's propagandists in the media. The one exception was Reagan. And that was only because Jimmy sucked so bad no one could stand him any longer.

We have one chance and only one chance to keep our constitutional republic for a little while longer and that is voting Trump. Every other candidate is a globalist that will sell out our sovereignty with unconstitutional trade deals. The uniparty, has done it before NAFTA, WTO and they will do it again, TPP.

Ted Cruz is fully on board with the globalist plan to replace our constitution republic with a depentent North American Union. His wife Heidi help write the CFR plan to do just that. Ted Cruz was the leader in the Senate for passing TPA and TPP. He ever wrote an op-ed in the WSJ urging congress to pass the unconstitutional trade deal. Anyone that can't not see Cruz is a globalist is intentionally blind.

Ted Cruz is also pro amnesty as long as there is no pathway to citizenship. However that is a con since Cruz knows full well that the courts, not to mention the Rats, will provide a pathway to citizenship at the first opportunity should Cruz get his amnesty.

Ted also supports the neocon nation building wars. Once again he is GOPer.

Well I hope you Cruzers are happy voting for an anti-American globalist. Should Ted get the nomination he likely loses to Hillary but even if elected there is not a lot of difference between Hillary and Ted so either way the globalists win. The only positive is that Ted would appoint more moderate judges than Hillary. While that doesn't mean much in the long run it might be enough to get Ted a few more votes in the general. But in the long run we still get over run by illegals, we still wage senseless wars and we still get gobbled up globalists intent on implementing their NWO. Or we could vote Trump.

You mention praying. Does it bother you that Ted Cruz gives less money to his church than Obama(Cruz gives ZERO)? Does it tell you anything about Cruz’s character?

OK, you are not fond of Trump. I have explained in a number of ways that I originally supported (also with $) Cruz, but have come to see him as part of the Establishment, and that Trump is the lone voice against the Establishment.

I am not a cultist; I am not bringing FR down by my discussions. I hope that some of us can have non-emotional, non-hyperbolic discussions of issues in this absolutely crucial election.

And I do my best to steer clear of rumors, to resist speculations, and to withhold snap judgements.

Best case of projection I've seen in quite a while.

... create trash to sully decent folks
... willing to buy into lies and engineered garbage
... a candidate who is playing them like a cheap fiddle
...facts are not really all that important - especially when you have an agenda to push.
... all of Trump's well-known past with his 3 wives) a man with issues of objectifying women for sexual pleasure and a daughter who is clearly not attached to him for some reason
... members of a cult
... loves ludeness, loves pornography (prostitutes & married women & Ashley Madison)
... loves to buy politicians take money from GSachs, Soros, and all the rest of his big long list of owners.
... "a best-bud" of Hillary Clinton Glenn Beck & a crazed pastor who wants gay people to die (or whatever that was) (and shared the majority of her extreme leftist agenda his extremist Dominionist globalist/socialist theology all thew ay until he filed to run in the GOP primaries) to this very day.

Congrats. You're the winner.

Apparently, a “married” couple lived apart for SEVEN years. You don’t find that a bit odd? Something doesn’t add up here.

Here you are criticizing other FReepers for "[buying] into lies and engineered garbage", and you hypocritically proceed to do the exact same thing yourself!

You see, Donald Trump has made no such "affair claims" against Ted Cruz. Thus your accusation is calumny, a smear...
