You are exactly right. The decision was made by one Justice alone. In other times during American history a justice in Justoce Roberts’ position might have recused himself because of the appearance of impropriety, since Cruz’s name is alleged to be on the list and Cruz worked hard to put Roberts on the court.
I would think that with how good hackers are at their art that someone would find a way.
