Congratulations, #NeverTrumpers Tuesday night you became the dog that caught the car.
What are you going to do with it now? Because it's still skidding toward a cliff.
Sen. Ted Cruz's Wisconsin whipping of GOP front-runner Donald Trump has brought into focus the new convention-al wisdom: It's going to be contested, baby! Trump can't reach a majority of delegates, according to the new Beltway buzz, and because Cruz has a target-the-delegates strategy while Trump has a bluster-about-myself strategy, the tactical Texan is going to win.
"It's still possible for Trump to exceed the 1,237 majority needed to win on the first ballot, but the odds have been lessened because of tonight," Larry Sabato of the University of Virginia's Miller Center said on Fox News.

That’s all that is happening: The eGOP trying to keep Trump from having the votes to force a convention smoky backroom nomination of the eGOP candidate, which won’t be Cruz either.
Then voter nullification of the largest voting block becomes Ted' only route to the nomination.
Voter nullification... Ted Cruz, little man on campus.
And you persist withyour nonsense.
If it’s open between Trump and Cruz I am fine with that.
Anyone else and I’ll stay home...maybe forever...
You folks are suffering from the same sickness you experienced after Iowa.
The party is a closed system, we know what will happen if that occurs. Trump made a strategic error in attempting a hostile takeover of one of the two parties in our closed oligarchical system of government. You can’t win from the inside doing that. You must revolt from the outside. Our government is ruled by a closed two party system, where the parties themselves - the insiders or establishment if you will - set and implement the rules and procedures. Even Trump’s delegates aren’t his own, really. There are plenty enough ready to jump if things get hinky, which they will.
The outcome is pretty set in stone unless Trump runs the table from here out. It may not be Cruz, but it may be, as the party doesn’t care if it wins the election, just that it maintains the closed two party system and keeps its spoils. Trump made a strategic blunder trying this from inside one of the two closed parties. You can’t do it that way.
But Trump hasn't crosses the finish line, so there's nothing to steal!
That’s right. And if we believe Paul Ryan, then who the hell is it going to be?
Trump for President.
Biggest whiner I've ever seen.
What no one is talkng about is that Cruz will go in to a contested convention than trump.
Then trump and his supporters will be the beggars.
All those trumpertantrums are coming back to haunt now.
If you read the whole article which I wasted my time doing its not first class analysis and leans on Larry Sabato for Gods sake for its contested convention rationale. Sabato hasn’t had a clue in years.
The hard reality is that Trump was never going to win WI. The GOPe and Scott Walker got the machine to turn out the vote for Cruz. Its one primary. By June 7th Trump should be at or very near 1237 delegates. He will have all the leverage. What is Cruz going to do do with 860 or so delegates? If you are Kasich who do you cut a deal with Trump or Cruz? Of course Trump. Kasich’s 143 delegates would put Trump over the top on the first ballot at the convention. Trump is not going to walk into a contested convention. He will cut a deal way before the convention even starts. He’s a dealmaker that’s what he does.
Bernie now leads Hillary in the bound delegates count, but for some strange reason, the media doesn’t seem to be interested in covering it.
Your guy couldn't make a successful appeal to the voters this campaign season. You can't live with it.
You folks are having an Iowa relapse.
“The entire establishment is fearful of Trump.”
Unfortunately, so is a sizeable part of the electorate.
Great graphic.
It’s a public service - a Free Republic service.

Interesting that Trump has collected 48% of the delegates so far and needs to increase that rate to 62% to make 1237.
With less candidates that’s not far-fetched.
Trump might make it to 1237.
They’re starting to. She’s frazzled, I love it. The more he wins, the more antsy the super delegates will get. The problem is, the NE has closed primaries and that doesn’t bode as favorable for Bernie as the contests he’s been winning.
