If you want to talk math, the goal here is not for Cruz to get 1237, but to prevent Trump from getting 1237. That's the math that counts. After that, it's the second ballot that counts.
Side note - isn't this mathematical response an example of "Cruz can't win, give up" propaganda? But why expect consistency from Trump supporters - too late to start that now!
well I don’t know why Rubio, Carson and others gave in if the goal was just to stop another guy .
Good thing Kasich stayed in right?
PFFTT
Not what he said last night ...
If the goal is to stop Trump from getting 1237 then he should run on that platform.
"My message and my platform is not popular enough to win when the people cast votes ... but its good enough to prevent the one who has the overwhelming lead from getting the nomination."
He hates Trump more than he loves America.
In two weeks ... Cruz will be Kasich ... and anyone who votes for them is an idiot.

If Trump was staying in the race to block Cruz from getting 1237 so the party could hand the nomination to a third person, would you be “consistent” in your support of such a strategy?
If Cruz does block Trump from winning and then gets the nomination, that’s great. But if he does this and they hand it to Kasich or Ryan or Romney, then what have we gained?

Remember that when we get Paul Ryan or Mitt as our nominee.
You don’t actually think Cruz will get the nod do you? haha
When Cruz is mathematically eliminated in two weeks will that be a stunning blow as well?

What counts is winning the general.
Another fine example of why this party is stuck in stupid and its’ voters no smarter than that Bernie lot.
Cruz has been done, since the Tuesday he was destroyed in OH and FL. He can’t win those states therefore he can’t be Prez. Every vote for Cruz after that Tuesday is a vote for Hillary. Not even debatable.
For math, Trump beat Cruz to the tune of 1,000,000 votes in those states and Cruz ain’t getting many of those in the general. He is simply a GoPe tool to maintain the status quo.
.
In other words to hell with the primary. Keep the candidate the people overwhelmingly have voted for under the magic number then go to the convention and have the party bosses give the nomination to who ever they want to give it to. That happens and Hillary Clinton is the next president and the GOPe, and that certainly includes Ted Bush, could care less. Their way of life is protected again with a crook like they are in the White House. The only way in the world for Washington to change from being controlled by the elite snobs is for Donald J. Trump to win. End of story.
I think the only thing that all the Cruz supporters, which includes the media and talk radio, are concerned about is nominating a pure conservative and that will be a win. Not that he can win the general because I dont think he will. If by chance Ted gets to 1237 (getting the nom. legit) then he may get the backing to maybe win the general but thats still questionable.
The Trump supporters are not going to forget what Ted is doing by trying to deny Trump the nomination by suctioning off delegates resulting in neither of them getting to 1237 and then if Cruz wins by a contested convention, and at point, it will be very difficult for Ted to get Trump supporters, which would then make it very hard to win the general election but at least they nominated a pure conservative. I will vote for either one that gets to 1237 legitimately which would be Americas Choice.
