Here is a possibility... Trump misses the amount by like 10 delegates to win outright.

In a contested convention, Ryan or Romney get chosen. Then Trump runs as an independent and draws enough votes away from the Republican nominee that Clinton or Sanders win.

Then we have 4 or possibly 8 years of Clinton or Sanders. Process how more powerful China will be by 2024, and how much more of a hold Islam will have over Europe. Consider Iran will most likely obtain nukes during that period.

Then consider the possibility of Supreme Court appointments, such that Liberals outnumber conservatives on the court 6-3.

You’re scaring me.

I think Hillary is vulnerable. Not just because of her e-mail scandal but because of how well Sanders is doing. That tells us that she may win but she’s not that popular.

But Trump can’t beat her. He needs broad support including women and conservatives and Republicans and he cannot get that support. Plus his high unfavorability is a big negative.

It is highly unlikely that an outsider would win a contested convention if I understand how that works.

How about we just nominate Cruz and win.

My wife says that was the plan from the beginning. Who am I to say she’s wrong?

Which has been what I figured Trump's intended purpose was from the start, given his strong connection to the Clinton's over the last several years. Many have speculated that his campaign was a means of undermining the GOP to guarantee a Democrat win (Trump's party for the majority of the last 20 years).
