Does Donald Trump understand the delegate rules in Pennsylvania?

Well, this is interesting. Under a new rule adopted by the Pennsylvania GOP in 2015, the 54 delegates elected from Pennsylvania’s 18 Congressional districts (3 per district) are unbound and can vote for any candidate they choose.

Salena Zito and Tom Fontaine report:

SalenaZito ✔ ‎‎@SalenaZitoTrib

"All 54 of Pennsylvania's delegates unbound on 1st ballot we called to see where they stand" [snip]

In other words, the popular vote never really matterd in Pennsylvania and it was always a delegate game:

Well he’s not Cruz whose wanted to be president since 5th grade....funny for a guy whose wanted it his whole life he sucks at it. He can’t seem to get the voters to vote for him very often. Trumps been in this six months. Trumps not a geek like Cruz is.

Well Trump has had Millions of Dollars of Free Air time you would think he would have wrapped this up already.. But he has this problem.. He can’t stay off of Twitter and he has this Yuge problem his big mouth!!!

Don’t watch Hannity much do you, because had you watched his town hall Monday night you wouldn’t have made such a stupid statement.

RE:”Simple rule : If Don doesn’t understand the rules, then he must have been cheated.
....
If he don’t win then he was cheated also!”

Thats Trump's main rule.

Before Tuesday I joked here that Trump would claim the Cruz cheated to win WI and his drones would follow.

As for civility, those that think Trump’s rude or too abrupt likely haven’t spent much time in corporate America

Don't take this the wrong way, but Trump isn't running for President of corporate America, and he is often rude beyond the acceptable in everyday America. I have said it before, there are many things Trump says and positions he holds that I find attractive......and then he completely turns me away with his "I am the great and all powerful all omniscient Trump" routine.

To know the mechanics of a political party nomination process isn’t any more inherently corrupt than to know all the factors of a business deal.

I’m thrilled we’re going to have a real geek for President, someone who truly represents me and my geekness. Not that fake geek Obama, who some in the media pretended was a geek because he saw Star Wars once. Cruz is a true, huge Star Wars and Simpsons fan, my top true loves, and also geeks out about other cult movies like Princess Bride.

says the person who posts at night to my night post....

Do you bother to read tag-lines? And tell me, is there some rule where a Trump supporter can ONLY post uber-fantastic articles about the election? Considering the MSM, those would be few and far between, wouldn’t you agree?

I posted an article that I found interesting and that may be of strategic interest to other Trump supporters.

Unfortunately, it appears it went right over your head -at about mach 5.

“Donald Trump has won the hearts and the votes of the people but I am not sure he can win this rotten evil game.”

He’s won the hearts and the votes of many people but certainly not all, nor even close to a majority.

He has won the votes of 32% of voters in Republican primaries so far.

That’s 32% of less than half the electorate, so maybe 15% support him at a voting level.

I’m sure many really love him too, but he has also angered and alienated a good portion of the conservative voting bloc as well.

If you want to talk about what’s unfair, why has Trump gotten 39% of the popular vote but 47% of the delegates? Sounds like the Cruzers should cook up a wild conspiracy about this one. But it’s true that winner-take-all rules which have helped Trump’s count aren’t exactly democratic and fair.

Cruz is almost a carbon copy of Manchurian candidate Zero. Just like Zero, something ‘just ain’t right’ about Cruz and try as I may, I can’t shake that feeling.

The article quotes two of the delegate candidates as being Trump supporters.

I know of a third, Joe Sacco, running in my congressional district, the 4th.

We have a couple hundred people to choose from for the 3 slots in each congressional district for a total of 54.

There are 15 candidates in my district alone.

Could Trump produce a list of delegates for each district pledged to vote for him?

Funny how those who traditionally berate and excoriate the GOPe/RNC for diddling with the process now believe that it’s all just a given part of the game - silly voters.....

As far as I know, yes, he knows this. The models that have him obtaining a majority of delegates at the convention have him taking 17 Pennsylvania delegates to the convention.

He should use direct mail, newspapers, online ads, whatever it takes to link the voters with his delegate candidates, who are on the ballot in many places, but the GOPe rules only allow names on the ballot not linked to presidential candidates with the local elected GOPe officials having the name recognition advantage.
