TRUMP is the only GOP Candidate that can win 1237.

Cruz will not win another Primary or even come close for 1 month, at least.

Good bye, Cruz, sabor your WI wind, that will be the last until early Summer.

"Donald Trump is currently ahead in 45 of Wisconsin's 72 counties, even though he's trailing statewide by 15%."

The GOPe is it seems calling the shots now.

This could be to be, a real mess.

districts are made up of counties. If he wins enough counties, he might get a few delegates out of tonight’s “less than stellar” progress.

It is very unlikely that Trump can get the 1237 he needs now. Possible, but very unlikely at this point.

Looks to me like he will lose to Cruz on the 2nd or 3rd ballot at the convention.

Cruz just has a much more professional campaign team around him and he hasn’t managed to alienate everyone but his core supporters. So yeah, Cruz on the 2nd or 3rd ballot is increasingly the most likely scenario.

Maybe Trumpkins can go back to that ARG poll they were posting over and over and imagine the actual Wisconsin primary never took place? Or perhaps they can go back to posting gutter sleaze from the National Enquirer cause that really helped their cause so much, right?

If June 1 comes and Trump cannot reach 1237, will he drop out?

Cruz may not win another state if he stays to the end because after NY and the other NE states, there will no momentum left whatsoever for Cruz. He would look totally stupid to stay in the race.

Trump will be done in by his massive ego. The self-inflicted woulds of the past two weeks are the beginning of the end for his campaign.

Doesn’t matter. Trump will not get a majority and will not win on the first ballot in Cleveland. If he does not win on the first ballot, no way he wins the nomination. There are 100s of delegates bound by law to vote for him once, but cannot wait to move on to another candidate after that. In some ways the same thing can be said about Cruz. A contested convention probably means neither Trump nor Cruz wins the nomination, unless they make a deal with each other and that bridge burned long ago.

Trump doesn’t have a path to 1237 either.

Enjoy the primaries. Cruz will be 150-190 short of Trump going to Cleveland.

Yet he will wrap up Colorado this coming Saturday...

Then he will likely lose NY, but I think it will be MUCH closer than many realize. Sure NYC will vote for Trump, but upstate NY is very conservative. Trump does terrible with conservatives. He only won the moderates in WI... Anyone remotely conservative is not supporting the man.

He’ll win NY, but it will not be a blowout. His other negative is his 40% ceiling. If Kasich collapses after tonight, Cruz has a good shot at making some solid headway...

So what. I am fully prepared to support Trump if he is the nominee. However, I have watched Ted Cruz get trashed here by quite a few people for the past six months, and they have all been whining lately how Cruz won’t do what’s good for the nation and drop out. It’s stupid. They also constantly predicted how Cruz was about to lose, and it was all over. I have also been saying for months that Trump supporters need to realize that Trump cannot win without the millions of Cruz supporters who voted in the primaries and caucuses. But most just won’t listen.

I have attributed this knee-jerk reaction to the anti-Cruzers as probably being that they are just trolls, for the most part. But lately, it looks like they are true patriots who just were too stubborn to listen.

Trump would have wrapped the nomination up if he had stayed on message instead of getting into all the childish nonsense of name-calling and insults. At least that should have been rare. Unfortunately, his supporters followed suit. They have been non-stop bashing Cruz for months.

If you do not want Hillary to be president, you better get ready to compromise and support a Trump-Cruz coalition. It is the ONLY way to stop the left. Anyone who does not recognize this is living in fantasy land.

This applies to both Trump AND Cruz supporters.

Look at this SEA OF RED in purple state WI where the Governor, Speaker of the House, and RNC Chairman are from, and who lined up all the forces of the GOPe against Trump - pretty impressive!

If TRUMP keeps getting his ass kicked, I don’t know how realistic his chances are of getting to 1237.

Did anyone else see this?
I was at sometimes house and they had Megyn Kelly on tonight. The guest was talking cruz and delegates. Kelly talked about Cruz working the delegates. She seemed a little put off by it. The guest did one better describing a situation where cruz could get Rubio’s delegates and take the nominating on the first vote. Kelly’s response was, “What???” She was shocked! She’d never heard it before and seemed a little shaken. She was asking about Trump this and Trump that. I don’t think she ever considered this scenario. She tried to hide it but seemed really bothered by it. Anyone else see that?

Cruz won the Wisconsin counties that are the most liberal.

I expected this to be what Trump won. Strange.

Madison and Milwaukee went Cruz?

Cruz is pretty much guaranteed to be mathematically eliminated on April 26.
