U.S. Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has pulled into a statistical dead heat with front-runner Donald Trump, a new Reuters/Ipsos national poll showed on Tuesday, as the Texas senator appeared poised to pick up a key victory in Wisconsin's primary.
Cruz received 35.2 percent of support to Trump's 39.5 percent, the poll of 568 Republicans taken April 1-5 found. The numbers put the two within the poll's 4.8 percentage-point credibility interval, a measure of accuracy. Cruz and Trump were also briefly in a dead heat on March 28.

Cruz is beating Trump by 50% in already-voted Texas but down 30% of the east coast.
500,000 is a good start for Cruz to try to catch up with Trump on a pure numbers game.
Exactly. But thankfully, God seems to get a kick out of upsetting the apple cart now and then. :)
You can bank on it. No Trump supporter that I know will vote for Cruz.
If it comes down to Bernie or Hillary vs Cruz, then I will choose between the natural born American.”
Good grief....we are done as a country. Done in by friendly fire.
Question is what lessons will Trump learn from this.
If he does become the nominee, better to learn some lessons now than too close to the election.
LOL ;)
ARG's new motto "We are accurate to within 30 points...give or take".
ARG should close down tomorrow out of shame, and anyone that posted it without looking at the silly internals should be utterly embarrassed.
I was skeptical of the poll because:
a) ARG has a C- accuracy rating.
b) This particular poll was an outlier.
He has some work there for sure. I know you would prefer Cruz so I am just saying trump strategy only. I would think that owning a global business that he would have a lot of woman working for him for decades who could possibly give an overview of his treatment of women and even how/if he promotes then. I think he needs to have a speech like Obama did in 2008 when things were not going his way. That changed everything for him.
Friendly Fire? Not for me buddy. The Republicans haven’t been a friend to me and this election season proves that more than ever.
They sure know how to fight to thwart voters in their own primary, yet where is that fight when it’s time to defend this country against the Democrats?
It’s a one party system pal. Look how both Left and Right coordinate together to stop Trump just as they had Romney lay down for Obama.
No more Uniparty votes for me. Ever. Those who wish can keep playing the game for pyrrhic victories.
The ARG that said Trump would take Wisconsin?
“The ARG that said Trump would take Wisconsin?”
Yes. By ten over Cruz.
Man. To Trumpers the Reuters poll was the greatest thing since sliced bread until it wasn’t.
Agree!
Tonight’s “note” to Hannity, instead of a personal short concession speech, Trump still can’t quit the bully crap.
Next few days we are likely to see a meltdown from Trump. Can not wait! Double down, DONEald.
I would want to respond to Wisconsin either..... if I were a Trumpy.
50% 30% DONEald!
Any shoe dropping will, like the other false claims, bounce up and smack the DONEald in the face.
I’m 100% for Trump doubling down on such a winning ploy. DONEald.
Zero, count on it. Double Down Donald.
Oh please - didn’t you see the NBC/Survey Monkey poll and the Morning Consult Poll out today? They all show Trump well ahead.
Cruz needs to win 94% of the remaining delegates.
Trump needs to win 65% of them.
Is there a dead heat?
Some folks just don’t have to tools to play this game.
Excuse me.
Trump needs to debate Cruz one on one.
But hes Chickn so he wont.
Hell get his butt handed to Himself. Believe me.
Trump is not man enough. Hes EVERYTHING HE HAS ACCUSED OTHERS OF BEING. You know the list.
And dont give me this crap Theyve already debated. We both know that those debates were watered down entertainment venues. Im talking about an issues debate, man to man.
