IIRC, Ross (mentioned in the full NY Post story) was the one who opened the door, looked down the stairs as Moseley raped Genovese, and closed the door. One of the people that he called told the cops about. He denied it. Moseley confirmed it.
The neighborhood’s later complaint that thirty eighty people did not witness the crime and fail to report falls flat. At least a dozen people saw it and did nothing. The neighborhood looked like scum after that because it was scum.
