Plan would take at least 20 years to implement.
Presidential candidate Donald Trumps plan to deport all undocumented immigrants would cost between $400 billion and $600 billion and take at least 20 years to implement, according to a report from the American Action Forum.
The report estimates that there are currently 11.3 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States. To deport them, these individuals would have to be apprehended, detained, legally processed, and transported back to the country they originated from.
In order to do this in two years like Trump has proposed, the report estimates that there would need to be 90,582 federal immigration apprehension employees, 348,831 immigration detention beds, 1,316 immigration courts, 32,445 federal attorneys to process undocumented immigrants, and a minimum of 17,296 chartered flights and 30,701 chartered bus trips.

Even if true we save 1.6 trillion.
Must be the same people who paid $5 billion to rennovate the United Nations building...
1. Make it a $50,000 fine to employ an illegal alien, and split the fine 50/50 with the person that provides the tip.
2. Enforce the law aggressively for 6 months.
3. Mexicans flood the border getting home, as they cannot make a dime in the U.S.
Activation of the full national guard for all 50 states won’t cost that much. Under a commander in chief that means to enforce the laws on the books against foreign invaders within the borders (not Americans so it’s not a Constitutional issue) working for other federal agencies in charge of the operation will work.

Are we being asked to assume that deportation only has costs and no benefits? What about reduction of crime, reduction of “social safety net programs”, and movement toward market wages as illegal competitors for jobs go home?
Did you look at my link?
The crew at my house could roof but speeky no eenglksh

Your comment reminded me of the time I came home for lunch and saw a roofing crew tearing apart my roof when they should have been working on the neighbors roof.
I called up to them to let them know, but the man who I guessed was crew leader kept saying they spoke no English. (Probably had more to do with me being a woman, but I digress).
I hate heights and I hate climbing ladders, but I got out the ladder, drug it over to the side of the house and climbed up on the roof with the crew.
Of course, they all stopped and were staring at me with amused expressions, and the same guy said once again that they spoke no English.
My reply, in a graduated tone of voice was “Well, this is MY HOUSE and Someone Up Here Had BETTER LEARN ENGLISH REAL QUICK OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE!"
It was amazing how quickly they learned to speak English. We sorted it out and, of course they had to repair my roof for free.
Think of the money it will save! No more free foodstamps, education , housing subsidies, medical care , not to mention how it would effect the drug and crime rates.
Complete BS. Cut off the jobs with heavy fines and prison time for employers and the money will just dry up. Once that happens many will self deport. Round up the rest and get them the hell out of here. Pronto!
Exactly. Look at the cost of Obamacare for everyone of these bums plus free meds, add section 8 housing, food stamps, Gov phone and we pay well over 5-6 K per illegal. They all dump an anchor baby here so they can stay. F All of them, No more anchor babies. Cruz’s father was here illegally and he was not a US citizen.
My buddy had his roof redone by a Mexican crew.
They all had Ohio plates on their vehicles. He asked them, and it turned out they DID drive all the way in from Ohio each morning.
They told him they did not like living in PA because you can’t buy beer in the 7-elevens here. They like to start their day in the parking lot of a 7-eleven with a case of cold cervezas before starting their day as day labor.
Duh. Don’t have to deport them. Just stop giving them money, phones, medical service, EBT cards, jobs, drivers’ licenses and voting rights. Eliminate the automatic citizenship for all babies born in the USA.
They will self-deport.
Start by cutting off foreign aid
let’s start with the criminals.....
you know... the dui dwi rapists murderers assaulters and thugs...
the ones obama has been releasing...
followed by the welfare recipients
and so on....
the anchor baby argument is b.s. and not what the constitution had in mind
and its not just mexico.... chinese and others are just as fraudulent...
get rid of ‘em
stop screwing the taxpayer to buy votes...
Most are not paid enough to survive, that is why they get on social services even when they have jobs. The advantage to the employer is the taxpayer makes up the difference to a living wage so they can pay little. With the current system even those that work their butts off are a drain on our system.
There are work programs for temporary legal foreign workers, but there is a requirement to pay a certain wage. If they are illegal there is no such requirement.
Fine the employers of illegals, enforce the laws, cut off social services and even in fly over country they will leave.
As soon as Trump gets the wall, fence, some type of physical barrier to the revolving door he can make a big splash in a hurry on deportations. Put border enforcement back on the actual border to stop illegals from entering.
First phase should be to deport all those that have already had their day in court and are under court order to be deported (they are being ignored currently) there can be no lib screaming since the court orders are there.
Next deport all illegals in prison, gang affiliated, rapists, etc. Hard to argue with that. Deport criminal illegals as they are encountered.
Enforce all immigration laws, cut off freebies. The writing will be on the wall so many will return on their own.
We need a division down there to protect from the cartels’ military incursions. Make the parks safe for Americans again.
That is part of current immigration law and any President will have to follow it unless the law is changed.
In the past that part of the law was used as a carrot to get illegals to agree to be deported immediately and not clog up the courts. If they agree to be deported they may apply to return legally in the future. If they insist on a court hearing and lose they may be barred from ever legally entering.
The truth is just because they can apply to return there is no guarantee they will be able to do so.
