Trump’s Deportation Plan Would Cost at Least $400 Billion

Plan would take at least 20 years to implement.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plan to deport all undocumented immigrants would cost between $400 billion and $600 billion and take at least 20 years to implement, according to a report from the American Action Forum.

The report estimates that there are currently 11.3 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States. To deport them, these individuals would have to be apprehended, detained, legally processed, and transported back to the country they originated from.

In order to do this in two years like Trump has proposed, the report estimates that there would need to be 90,582 federal immigration apprehension employees, 348,831 immigration detention beds, 1,316 immigration courts, 32,445 federal attorneys to process undocumented immigrants, and a minimum of 17,296 chartered flights and 30,701 chartered bus trips.

It’s expensive because they’ve MADE it expensive.
Every illegal gets his day (month, year) in court, clogging up our judicial system and costing these billions in legal fees, lawyers, etc.

Just change the law to make it easier, like it was before Teddy Kennedy.

No matter how many cross the borders, there’s always only 11 million undocumented.

BS. It can be done for free. Simply remove or reverse the incentive system that brought them here in the first place. Stop subsidizing invasion, start penalizing invasion - and its subornation - and the problem will cure itself.

This is supposed to scare me?

I really don’t care what it costs for the law to be complied with.

IF American companies would stop giving illegals jobs; IF the gubmint would stop giving illegals free stuff, the illegals will self deport.

If billions must be spent, I’d rather it be spent on deporting them than supporting them.

The American Action Forum and it’s affiliate The American Action Network was founded by Fred Malek, National Finance Committee co-chair of John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. These two groups share office space with Karl Rove’S Crossroads GPS/American Crossroads.

Jeb Bush is an adviser associated with the American Action Forum. He is also associated with another AAN group, the Hispanic Leadership Network. The Hispanic Leadership Network developed the “Earned legal status”, and “undocumented immigrant” talking points.

American Action Forum exists to promote amnesty.

How much will it cost to ‘bring the good ones back in’?

1) Make it the law that if you are deported, then you are NEVER EVER eligible for returning, even for “family reunification”.

2) Change the definition of what constitutes “due process” for deportation.

3) Make it much harder for illegals to get benefits.

4) Crack down hard on employers of illegals.

The illegals will self-deport.

It’s BS. It will be the same as with Eisenhower’s plan. Once it becomes evident that jobs are shut down and that deportation are taking place, many will return on their own to their home country and get in line legally. I have no problem with that.

Money well spent, as opposed to most of the rest of what our government does...

$0.00

They will voluntarily come back if they really want to be free and become Americans.

I could do it in four years for 2% of the cost.

Step 1: Build the Wall. We could even pay for it ourselves
Time: 1 Year
Cost: $1 Billion

Step 2: Fully Implement eVerify
Time: 1 Year - Concurrent with wall construction
Cost: $100 Million

Step 3: Set Up Database for ID/Biometric/DNA
Time: 1 Year - Concurrent with wall construction
Cost: $100 Million

Once these three items are in place, you simply broadcast the fact that there is $50,000 in cash waiting for any illegal immigrant who is willing to self deport, provided he submit to ID verification, biometric data collection, and DNA sampling, and will agree to never return to the United States, on pain of immediate deportation. Cash is payable at the bottom of the airport ramp in the country of their choosing.

Time: 2 years
Cost: 7 Billion

Any illegal immigrant who does not voluntarily self deport under the above plan would not be able to work under the eVerify rules, and could then be arrested and deported without compensation. But there would be very few left to deport at that point.

Total Time: Four Years
Total Cost: 8.2 Billion

First, the 11.3 million number has been used for over a decade and is more likely 30 to 70 million.

Second, how much would be saved? In healthcare, education, social services, criminal justice, etc.?

==

Then, the advocates revert to GWB’s old (lie) line of ‘jobs Americans won’t do.’

Ridiculous numbers. They will self deport in droves once their freebies are cut off.
