Trump’s Deportation Plan Would Cost at Least $400 Billion

Plan would take at least 20 years to implement.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s plan to deport all undocumented immigrants would cost between $400 billion and $600 billion and take at least 20 years to implement, according to a report from the American Action Forum.

The report estimates that there are currently 11.3 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States. To deport them, these individuals would have to be apprehended, detained, legally processed, and transported back to the country they originated from.

In order to do this in two years like Trump has proposed, the report estimates that there would need to be 90,582 federal immigration apprehension employees, 348,831 immigration detention beds, 1,316 immigration courts, 32,445 federal attorneys to process undocumented immigrants, and a minimum of 17,296 chartered flights and 30,701 chartered bus trips.

I just skimmed this journalistic defecation, but I was unsurprised to see the absence of figures for how much money would be save each year once we started booting the illegals.

Of course the savings would be mitigated by how many a Trump administration then allowed back in legally, bottom line, I think any numbers generated without more real data are just mental masturbation.

Yeah, since when do leftist get concerned about a Government cost? They don’t seem to mind the $20 trillion deficit that Obama has put us under.

Big time BS.

Cut off access for illegals to any assistance.
Fine employers $10,000 per day for each illegal paid any stipend.
Deport thousands of illegals.
Ignore any stay issued a by any court.

Illegals should get the message and skedaddle in haste.

Just what I was thinking.
I don’t hear our government complaining about spending money.
I’m all for spending money for something that will make our future better.
My Dad was a good business man and anytime my Mom complained about spending too much, his reply was always the same,
“You’ve got to spend money to make money”.

**and transported back to the country they originated from.**

Stopped reading when I got to a sentence ending in a preposition.

Incalculable for sure.

A) No it won’t cost $400B if done sensibly.
B) Asset forfeiture and employer penalties pay for it.
C) Existing deportation procedures can be streamlined.
D) Both Clinton and Bush deported 11M, the problem was it too easy to return.
E) If the 12m illegals take their 20M anchor babies with them, we save $150B/yr on public school costs

Immigration law basically requires immigrants to prove they are here legally — we do not need to prove guilt. That should be a very short process with no lengthy appeals. A one-way plane ticket to southern Mexico is under $300, China under $1000. Offer deputized Law Enforcement Officers a $1000 bonus for each apprehension, add transport cost and brief legal interview, and it should be average under $2000 cost per deportee. $25B minus whatever the employer fines and asset forfeiture bring in. There are almost a MILLION LEOs in the country, and if they had an incentive and approval, I don’t see it taking them more than a few months to bring in all 12M aliens.
