As I’ve read many times, this isn’t violating the will of the voters because “those are the rules”.
The 2015 Congress also followed the rules.
I’m pretty dissatisfied with the way the GOPe applies the rules and how little concern they have for voters’ wishes.

They can stick their convention rules up their butt. They either come out of that convention without a clearly voter-elected nominee or I’ll just stay home. No Ryan, Bush, Kasich or whatever designated GOP shill. That’s a fact.

In a sane world, and a sane GOP convention, if the two frontrunners together received well more than 50% of the cumulative votes cast (which very likely will be the case), and everyone else has dropped out or isn't close, then every effort should be made to convince those two to run together on the same ticket. Why go through a vetting process (the primaries) if you are going to ignore the results?
Yes, I know ‘they hate each other’ etc. etc., but they certainly wouldn't be the first ticket for which that was true.

The GOPe wrote rules to exclude the will of the voters

Im pretty dissatisfied with the way the GOPe applies the rules and how little concern they have for voters wishes. They haven't cared about voters' wishes for a LONG time. Look how they treated the tea party. They would win in landslides if they paid attention to the voters, but they are determined to thwart our wishes--so they lose.
