A virtually unknown Wisconsin businessman will attempt to be this years David Brat, the upstart who shocked the political world in 2014 and knocked off the sitting House majority leader in the Republican primary.
Paul Nehlen next week will formally kick off his campaign to unseat House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc. A onetime Ryan supporter, Nehlen said he became dismayed after his Congressman voted to give President Obama the ability to negotiate a massive trade pact with Pacific Rim countries. He said he grew more frustrated by Ryans vote for a budget that funds Obamas domestic priorities.
I arguably was Paul Ryans biggest supporter in this district, he told LifeZette, recalling that he bought copies of the congressmans book and gave them to friends. I pounded signs. I made phone calls. I got people out to vote for the things that Paul Ryan said were his top priority, he said. When the Trade Promotion Authority came out, the gloves came off. I was absolutely I just couldnt believe it. The level of betrayal was indescribable.
Beyond trade, Nehlen said his priorities would be enforcing immigration law and stopping Ryans cronyism and corruption, which he defines as doing the bidding of globalists in the Washington area who account for the bulk of the speakers campaign contributions, despite promises he made to people in the district.

Nice shirt
when is the congressional primary? Not Tuesday, surely?
August 9th
It's a small thing, but you're right. A white shirt -or- a classic flannel plaid if he wants to evoke the country look. That gray makes him look like Gov. Tarkin.
Good. If the RINO establishment torpedoes Trump or Cruz* at the convention, it’s on to take Ryan down. The shot to the bow of the impending Republican Civil War.
Heck, Ryan should be taken down based on that terrible budget deal alone.
*—Cruz only if he has enough delegates.
Very difficult to unseat an incumbent much less an incumbent speaker of the house, but not impossible.
The rebellion is in full swing, folks in Ryan's district need to get on the ball and pitch in for the big win.
Kick all their sorry @$$e$ out of office.
Lets see how well Trump does in Ryan district. It would be really nice to see RINO Ryan go down.
Thanks for posting. This guy seems like a formidable candidate. Ryan’s job is right for the taking.
Lets see how well Trump does in Ryan district.

Very astute point. Could be a major embarrassment for Ryan which is probably why he was chatting with Trump earlier this month. Ryan is worried that his backstabbing is starting to catch up with him. And for plenty of good reasons.
I donated the day the site came on line.
“...his backstabbing is starting to catch up with him. And for plenty of good reasons”......
Hope it teaches Ryan, and others like him who have turned their back on “We The People”, a good lesson.....”Don’t piss on the American people who elected you”.
Ryan’s never done a real productive day’s work in his life. He’s been the pretty baby of the metrosexual GOPe. His wife is an heiress, and politically connected. I loathe this ersatz aristocrat family more than I ever loathed the Clintons. I’d donate to Stalin if he ran against Ryan and the Princess.
Primaried? Ryan should be imprisoned, along with Hillaryous Rotten Criminal, Bernie the socialist, John Kasich, Ted Cruz and the rest of the present and past cronies in CONgre$$.

6. But the grand nostrum will be a public debt
7. It must not be forgotten that the members of the legislative body are to have a deep stake in the game. This is an essential point, and happily is attended with no difficulty. A sufficient number, properly disposed, can alternately legislate and speculate, and speculate and legislate, and buy and sell, and sell and buy, until a due portion of the property of their constituents has passed into their hands
8. (4) A great debt will require great taxes; great taxes, many taxgatherers and other officers; and all officers are auxiliaries of power.
9. The management of a great funded debt and a extensive system of taxes will afford a plea, not to be neglected, for establishment of a great incorporated bank. the use of such a machine is well understood. If the Constitution, according to its fair meaning, should not authorize it, so much the better. Push it through by a forced meaning and you will get in the bargain an admirable precedent for future misconstructions.
10. Divide and govern
11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.

I wish all of our government was as responsive as the House to the needs of their constituents (by running every two years across the board - include the Senate and Presidency - even if it is every three years for all). This current arrangement, where people can screw us for years then win re-election with brief damage control campaigns at the end of their first terms, are very damaging.
Not good. It is hard to beat name recognition with an unknown.
Voting out Eric Cantor didn't teach them anything. They're invincible, donchaknow!
After his budget deal, he deserves it.
