A man accused of fatally shooting his son outside a home where his wife was found dead has been charged with one count of premeditated murder as a hate crime, with prosecutors alleging he killed his son for being gay.

Yeah, I read another post on this today and they are treating the wife like she is chopped liver. Actually I think the father is saying the son killed the mother so he was reacting to that, but the piece I read was so sketchy I could just be making that up.
The article said nothing about the son being gay.
They found the mother dead.
They were evicting the son who was a drug abuser and always in trouble.
The son wouldn’t leave their home and they wanted him out.
On Friday, Shehada Khalil Issa, 69, of North Hills was charged with fatally shooting his son, Amir Issa, 29, outside the family’s home earlier this week because he was gay, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.As far as the allegation that the son killed the mom, it seems just as likely the dad killed her for the shame of giving birth to a gay child, then lay in wait for the son. Just my opinion.“The murder was committed because of the victim’s sexual orientation and because of the defendant’s perception of that status and the victims’ association with a person and a group of that status,” prosecutors said in a statement.
Issa was arrested at the scene and booked into the Men’s Central Jail on one count of premeditated murder. He is being held without bail.

Terrible. This is as bad as honor killings in Middle Eastern culture. What is with this nut cases. So your son is gay. Disown him if you like. Tell him to leave and never come back. But kill him. Nuts.

When I saw the drudge link I assumed it was going to be a "right-wing christian", and all of the MSM was ready to pounce on the story.
Oh, the things they had reeled up ready to go on how "Christians" and their toothless hick backwater ways are going to ruin this glorious United States.

There are interesting pecking order questions on the left sometimes, but frankly they probably don’t really care how many Muslims or gays suffer. They only care about what kind of hay can be made out of the suffering.

The title grabbed my attention but it seemed that the father killed the son for a million other reasons when you actually read the entire article.
Yet he was arrested for a ‘hate crime’.
He did everything to help his son, who it seems, might have killed his mother.
Finally dad snapped. Had enough.
Gay had nothing to do with it; despite the title.
So dad stabs the mother (death takes longer) and shoots the son?
Yeah, I looked up the dad today, and read that. The police said they couldn’t find the knife he threatened him with. I don’t remember how the wife died. Probably interesting.
Did the paper say how the wife died?
Some article said the dad was Christian.
It’s very odd how the story was presented.
