Reince Priebus Says Any Candidate That Abandons GOP Pledge Will Get No More Help From RNC
Young Conservatives ^ | 4/1/2016 | Andrew Mark Miller

We told you recently about how Donald Trump has abandoned his pledge to the GOP that he will support the nominee no matter who it was.

He claims that the GOP wasn’t fair to him and therefore that justifies him going back on his promise.

It has already been determined that his change of heart could hurt him in the delegate race which promises to be extremely tight as it is.

But now, GOP Chair Reince Priebus has come out and basically dared Trump to back down from the promise.

From Hot Air:

I’ve got the same problem here as I did in the post yesterday about Trump possibly forfeiting his delegates in South Carolina. Namely, what would constitute formal and final repudiation of the pledge sufficient to trigger penalties? If Trump says “I’m done with the pledge” on Monday and then on Tuesday says something squishy like “I suppose I could support Ted as nominee but it’d be tough,” does that qualify as breaking the pledge? Neither he nor Cruz are going to sign something affirming that they’re going back on their word, so you’ll have to tease out their intentions from scattershot verbal statements.

“We’re going into potentially — we don’t know for sure — but potentially an open convention. So the candidates, I think, are going to posture a little bit as far as what they are willing to do and who they’re willing to support and who they’re not,” [Reince Priebus] told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren…

Will that changes nothing. They were of virtually no help to any - candidates WE THE PEOPLE prefer, nor to WTP themselves. Their help will not be missed as it has yet to be seen. Suck an egg RP. Your contributed funds from WTP have seen the last of days - get a tin cup and stand on the nearest street corner.

GO TRUMP!!

"Trump is to blame for destroying what little remained of Reaganism, . . ."

The GOP wasn't all that happy with Reganism other than with how useful claiming to be a Regan Republican was at election time. How someone can say Trump destroyed what the GOP has spent the past thirty plus years running away from is nuts.

Huge Dirty Pac Money poured into Jeb Cruz by tax cheat Robert Mercer. and his fellow Elites.
The dirtiest gop primary in 40 years created by Jeff Roe - Jeb Cruz . they have unleashed non stop troll astroturfers here and elsewhere.

We are in deep trouble thanks to Cruz and his slash/burn antics here with his uniparty pals double teaming.

The Dems are lucky .
I will work to make Crux a one term senator/ traitor.
He is a dangerous amoral power hungry lawyer.

WC simply voiced it here.

So, it is HIS opinion then? Thanks for clarifying.

THIS IS WHY TRUMP was felt to be the perfect candidate when he threw his hat into the ring. The RNC needs to have sense beaten into their empty heads. Sense to know that ‘IT’S OVER for them. They had an excellent run, doing maximum damage but the time to bring down the curtains has arrived. They have been history from the moment the hat entered the circle. GO TRUMP!! BRING DOWN THE HOUSE. Better still, burn down the house. WTP will not stop you. We’ll stand there and cheer you on.

WE WANT OUR AMERICA BACK!! By Golly, we’ll do what it takes to see that happen.
RNC, be dammed! Quoth the Raven: ‘Nevermore’

Trump will have 1100-1300 delegates, next closest is Cruz with 700-800, GoPe is not suicidal, Trump wins on the first ballot, GoPe negotiate for VP.
Cruz is out. Guaranteed

Because
Fl and OH beat down of Cruz ended any chance he had. GoPe knows this, they want to hold on to senate and house seats.

It's not the RNC.

You give them far too much credit.

The battle has begun.

It is time to choose.

Hmmmm. If Trump, for example, abandons the GOP pledge and runs third party, he won’t be expecting much RNC help, I expect.

“But now, GOP Chair Reince Priebus has come out and basically dared Trump to back down from the promise.”

How does this “young conservative” know that Priebus’s comments were aimed at Trump. Cruz said he likely wouldn’t support Trump and IIRC, Kasich sounded like he was wavering as well. LOVE how everything is all about Trump.

I am pretty sure Cruz refused to say he would support Trump because he wasn’t going to be the nominee. Typical weasel words from a lawyer, deny with out actually denying. Kacish said basically the same thing, after they do then they go ask trump what would they expect him to say?

Exactly what he did, he was easily set up<<<

In my opinion, his being set up is becoming a problem. He’s blindsided and he really needs to catch on to that. This is what makes me realize that he’s basically honest and not a liar. He doesn’t see this nasty crap coming. He does when it comes to women. Apparently he’s been pounded by women, a lot, but not by this dirty game of politics. He has a little finesse, but he needs more. I’m not sure he realizes how dirty men can be, too.

You mean like ope-borders Moonbat McCain and Romney? The House and Senate spent us 10 trillion dollars in the red over the last 8 years. Where’s the RNC take on this? (crickets)

"I think a lot of the GOP in Congress think Trump will lead the GOP to huge losses in 2016. Maybe, just maybe, they don’t want to lose because a very unpopular guy is heading the ticket..."

No that isn't it. Their biggest fear is not an unpopular Trump. They fear a popular Trump. Because a popular Trump means their rich commie crony donors see they have lost control of the election process and if the cronies can't get what they pay for, they just won't pay anymore. No pay and the RINO candidates won't have money to run against the democrats because 'we the people' have already stopped contributing to the phony conservative GOPee candidates.

Trump's only unpopular to those who believe the commie RINO hype. The GOPee caused the unpopularity. But they are going to lose down ticket and they did it to their own selves when they decided it was okay to screw the base. Remember Mississippi.

Not that it will bother them any. They would rather have Hillary anyway.

Does that include Mitt Romney and members of the Senate and House??? Such a bunch of whining pricks. They insisted on the pledge...and were the first ones to break it. Just like they do with campaign promises once they’re elected. Damn the bunch of them.
