We moved to a remote place in southern Utah after having been in the bay area for 35 years. My phone bill was enormous because in 1999 all we had was dial up long distance to a server twenty miles away. That’s because I was up early every morning to listen to Lee.

I did notice that yesterday's Levin (1st hour) was very mellow, compared to previous weeks of rants. I figured Corporate had a discussion with him.

Man I miss him! I used to call in occasionally and fax them witty comments on news stories. My grandmother annually sends me a subscription to the Harrisonburg Daily News Record and I faxed him over a help wanted ad once for a place looking for a tom turkey milker at $11.50/hour with a comment that there was other stuff available if he ever got tired of radio. They were dying over that ad.
You remember a long time ago the SJ Mercury news ad that had the huge chunk of dead air in it? I was listening when they first ran that on his show, I thought I was going to pass out laughing when he got caught by that dead spot and just erupted afterwards!
