Just viewed the exchange. The pro-life exchange starts at 9:40. I think Trump was clobbering Matthews! The excerpt chosen by the MSM was designed to outrage. As a whole, Trump carried himself very well.
Exit question, Matthews is a fast talker and talks over his guest. Is Matthews on Crystal Meth, Cocaine, or some other drug? Is Matthews under stress and suffering a mental disorder? Discuss

Not a Trump supporter though I would vote for him in the general, and I thought he held up pretty well. I cheered when he pounded Matthews over his religion. Hard to believe that guy used to fill-in for Limbaugh.
Did Trump say he’s was pro-legalization on drugs at one point? I thought he did and then backed off and said he was watching Colorado to see how it went. I didn’t catch the whole thing.

Trump wasn’t ready for the question and answered sloppily.
He retracted and clarified with a completely reasonable stance, but everyone’s pretending he didn’t. They just keep playing the soundbite over and over again.
If there was any doubt the media was in the tank for Hillary, look at how carefully the narrative is being crafted about Trump in order to help Hillary.
He’s a bully.
He’s got a problem with women.
So any of his Trump-style attack on Clinton will be framed as bullying a woman.
Agree and I thought Trump’s point about Chris Matthew’s Catholic faith and abortion was excellent. How can you be a true Catholic if you support abortion? HYPOCRITE! And Trump answered the hypothetical question correctly.... there are consequences for breaking the law.
Really? First of all, you have to be able to stand Chris Matthews — which isn’t easy. And you have to have a taste for badgering “gotcha” journalism.
And of course Hillary gets her questions 2 weeks in advance. MSM is a propaganda nightmare.

Trump was getting the better of Matthews, especially regarding the Catholic Church exchange. I think Trump stumbled in his answer regarding penalties. He could have said, “the legislative branch decides what is illegal and any associated penalties, the judicial branch reviews those laws for constitutionality, and the executive branch enforces those laws impartially without respect to race, religion, or gender, which the current administration is not doing. Do you have a problem with that Chris ?”
The most hypocritical part of the broadcast came I think when Matthews was decrying how Trump would upend alliances the US currently has.
WHO, I ask you, has done the most damage to US alliances..?

At 13:35 Matthews declares:
I do not want to live in a Country so Facistic (??) that the Government can force someone to go against their personal choice as a free person.
Like, every Cultural Marxist policy that been rammed down our throats these past seven years by 0bama, Reid and Pelosi?

He said he had heard some positive cases about medical use. That Colorado had lots of problems. Named a couple and that he was observing what was happening ( as we all should )
Trump’s position is logical, its just seems “mean”.
I have learned a lot from Trump’s run.
Enforcing laws against those that break them is “mean”.
First amendment rights of protesters are more important than the speaker opposite of what the Supreme Court says.

What I saw was a very aggressive, over-caffeinated Matthews really get up in Trump’s face, getting in his face and generally out-bombastickING a famously bombastic man.
This is the absolute flip-side of the PANT-LEG THRILL and I think a great predictor of the general US media tone as Trump gets closer and closer to the White House.

You are so right. And, if I might add, Trump was absolutely unflustered by the nonstop interruption. He made his points time and again over the harassment. Obama would have run away pouting. Today, with this interview, I learned something important about the Donald. He can’t be bullied by the likes of Matthews. He keeps counterpunching. I like that.
