Portly North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, whose hostile actions have brought crippling international sanctions to his impoverished nation, has a new message for the Hermit Kingdom’s starving masses: Get ready to eat plant roots.

Kim, whose weight the South Korean government estimates has ballooned to nearly 300 pounds, signaled through state media that the nation could be headed for another famine like the one that killed an estimated 3.5 million people in the 1990s.

“The road to revolution is long and arduous,” an editorial in the state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper said Monday, according to The Telegraph. “We may have to go on an arduous march, during which we will have to chew the roots of plants once again.”

They can’t hear me, but to the people of North Korea I say: Use a rock to get a knife, use a knife to get a gun, use a gun to get more guns and roast that fat bastard alive.

To us, it's logical. We'd resist to the point of death. To someone born and raised in that environment, it's not even a thought in their mind. Total party loyalty. Total loyalty to the Kim family. The only way it would change is if there were an outside influence showing them the way.

Anything made by hipsters in quantities of less than 30 kegs a year and with a stupid name.

More like what beer was like before the depression and Carrie Nation. Boston Beer Co. sells about 2-3 million barrels of Sam Adams every year.

“Craft Beer” is from small local breweries, sometimes in just one restaurant, making types of beer that you used to have to go to Europe to taste. Stouts, ales, heavy lagers, lambic beers, etc. The post Prohibition colored soda water that passed for beer is still available but people my son’s age won’t touch the stuff.

That kid that stole the banner and got a 10 year sentence of hard labor is in for a horrible decade. Doubt he lives 3 year under those conditions.

I was being facetious, here in New Mexico we have a ton of local brewers. Had a buddy that would trade me his IPA for my well water... apparently my well in the mountains was remarkable similar to the Leeds Bass plant. 10 gallons for a six pack... that was a deal.

Kid will have a nervous breakdown and will probably be shot. I doubt if he has the stamina to put up with the regimen of that prison and last very long.

Thought it was fifteen. In any case it was a death sentence for him. I remember reading in history about our guys captured during the Korean war and how they suffered. And those guys were trained. This kid will roll up into a ball and just give up. Tubby had a great propaganda situation going and he blew it. He should have let the kid have the banner and given him some more to take home; show what a great leader he is.

Not so sure about the hipster thing, but the stupid name thing is spot on. It’s how I buy something new, name or label artwork.

The goofier the better.

Hey, you’re from Maryland... no need to go further than Natty Boh! (I guess because nobody ever felt the need to resurrect Old German in Hagerstown...)

There’s even a guy in St. Micheal’s who’s started making Rye whisky again, the first MD rye since Pikesville supreme closed in 1973.

Although I’m in NM, I’m a 4th generation Eastern Shoreman.

I see. Well in the spirit of venture capitalism it sounds like a good idea. Like anything else though after one or two you probably don't notice the taste. For the hipsters it would be cooler to spell it ''Kraft''. Jus' sayin'..

N. Korean officers either have unusually small heads or massive hats. Maybe both.

On the rare occasion I have a beer, I still go for a Miller Hi Life. Worked when I was 18, still does the trick at well... a lot older.

It must take a special kind of person to work at the top level with that guy.

Knowing you are only one misstep from being shot.

Hence the old expression “One aw sh*t outweighs a whole buncha attaboys”.

Come on...this Nork Porker Supremo has one of the world’s most intriguing haircuts. New Yorker City hipsters would do well to copy it.

I liked Miller High Life back in the day. Especially the little bottles.

I was quite partial to Rolling Rock ponies in college (no exact dates, but it was pre-mullet times).
