Amanda Carpenter, a top aide to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), is leaving his office to return to conservative commentary under her own name. Carpenter announced the move Tuesday in a message to colleagues that was first reported by Roll Call. She will leave Cruz's office on July 5.

“Looking back, I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to create #MakeDCListen, help with Sen. Cruz’s Gridiron speech, and contribute to his flawless presidential launch — as well as countless other memorable tweets, jokes, lines, talkers, statements, op-eds, and other items. We’ve been in high gear since Day 1 and I’m very proud of what we’ve done together,” Carpenter wrote........... Carpenter joined Cruz's office as a speechwriter and senior communications adviser in early 2013, before being promoted to communications director in the fall.

This article is from last June. What’s its relevance?

The relevance is the comments:

The first comment written June 9, 2015 mentions several possible reasons for Carpenter's departure, including this one on June 9, 2015: "#5. Affair with Better-Dead-Than-Ted and Missus-Better-Dead-Than-Ted found out." Note that this comment precedes Donald Trump announcing his candidacy to run for the presidency.
So, why did she leave her high-paying job with Cruz for lower-paying occasional work?

“It may be an old article, but it is relevant that it contains information about an alleged affair from before Trump even entered the race.

Didn’t you understand that was the whole point of posting it now?”
********************************************************************************
I really am questioning your basic intelligence now. The “old article” contained absolutely ZERO “information about an alleged affair” — try reading it to see.

The comments (you know, those unmonitored things that ANY anonymous crazy person can submit) to that article alleged lesbianism, affairs, etc, etc.

So the SLEAZY NOOB (March 17, 2016, inception date) who posted it did that SOLELY for the stupid, insane comments it contained.

PLEASE try to use your brain to distinguish “anonymous, slanderous comments” from REAL, ACTUAL information.

The longer it takes for some proof to come out, the worse it is going boomarang back and the Trump-Stone-Pecker smear alliance is going to be called into question more and more.

Stats. and numbers are my fun thing. I have posted hundreds posts reflecting and updating election data. This includes material regarding individual party rules and delegation issues.

You have posted hundreds of posts since joining FR two weeks ago?!? And they pertain to election data, and not innuendo about affairs ? Hmmmmmm . . .

A principled constitutionalist knows the difference between being “born in” a country as the law requires and one being born in Canada

Tabloids differ from the other publications because they pay for stories. And they flood the service industry with tips. They drag stories out as long as possible to maximize their sales. Don’t think Trump is some kind of puppet-master directing their sales and marketing.

If Trump was the source, he should have done it way earlier, not now. Trump would have had the nomination all sewn up.

Ted could not win Iowa with a sex scandal headline.

Thanks for the post; ping.

Teddy...he’s letting the women do the dirty work. The women’s war on Trump. Amanda Carpenter, Chrissy Matthews, Michelle Fields, Megyn Kelly, Glenda Beck, Marcia Levin. He’s their Teddy Bear.

Because they and Ted have a unique relationship with the lord and they love to remind us

We on the other hand are base evil

Nor are we as conservative as they are

I am still waiting for the proof from Lyin’ Ted and his posse that Trump was the source of the NE article.

You know, the article that Lyin’ Ted keeps blaming “Donald Trump and his henchmen” for planting.

Massive deflection on Lyin’ Ted’s part.

Just another example of being a “principled constitutional conservative”, no doubt.

Seriously Bob,

Think about it. If he had this or wanted to pump this information out he could have done it months and already been playing golf by now! Ted would have went bye-bye.

Trump would have secured the nomination and been going through the motions.
