HARRISBURG, Pa. - Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has won a case in Pennsylvania's highest court that had challenged his eligibility to appear on the state's GOP primary ballot and serve as president.
The state Supreme Court order Thursday upheld a lower-court judge's decision to dismiss the case.
A Pittsburgh resident and registered Republican voter, Carmon Elliott, had argued that Cruz isn't eligible to run for president or to appear on Pennsylvania's April 26 primary ballot because he was born in Canada....

The court denied the appeal, which confirms the lower court decision. Cruz is eligible and the court is silent beyond that.
However, I'm getting used to the 'Two' Thessalonians-level delusion we're calling "truth" in these days, so it's all good, right?
These days I'm more clear about my place in the bigger picture and I'm at peace.
Like the test screen used to say, for now "Never trouble trouble till trouble troubles you" seems to apply.
The New American Colony of the New World Order. What kind of flag should we have?
Even Obama is more American the Ted Cruz. Sad to Say.
In your opinion, but your opinion is worth a bucket of spit. So far, not a single court has ruled in favor of your position. I predict that the trend will continue.
For purposes of the trial, facts were stipulated. The issued boiled down to whether a person who is a citizen at birth soley by virtue of an Act of Congress is a NBC, which is purely a question of law.
The flag should be all white!
Exactly. The courts are turning what the Founders intended completely around. Instead of citizenship being based on one's natural Allegiance, one's allegiance is assumed via 'legal' citizenship.
How about some grafitti?
It is the job of the plaintiff to present evidence that would influence the Court in their direction. That is not the job of the defendant.
If a Certificate of Naturalization was ever issued to Senator Cruz, that fact could be easily uncovered via a Freedom of Information Act request.
Is he eligible? IMHO, NO!
Actually, the courts have been sending a strong and consistent message for over eight years. The definition of citizens at birth laid out in USC 8, Section 1401 are Constitutial and constitute the definition of natural born citizen for purposes of Presidential eligibility.
The drama, such as it were, is over; although the long slow excruciating death throes will continue among the die hards.
AMEN!
How about tie die?
My 4th great grandparents were both born in the American colony of New York...1757 and 1767
they were both children of 2 American colony born parents, the descendants of people born or lived here for generations
they met and married in the new country of Canada and had children all born there...my 5th ggf was born in 1797...was he eligible to be POTUS ???
that man never lived anywhere else but Canada and married a woman born in Vermont (the child of of other US born people) and had children all born in Canada...their son born in 1831 was my 2nd great great grandfather...
was this last man eligible to be president ???
Of course he was based on what the courts and some FReepers here have determined...
and yet the Obama birthers claimed he wasn’t and at that time I agreed with them...
however now we have Cruz also born in Canada to an American born mother but a foreign born father with no previous American ancestors, and suddenly the rules have changed ???
That is possible, but unlikely, I believe. The Court has never been inclined to hear a Presidential eligibility case, and with the denial of this appeal, they will have even less reason to hear this.
That's false.

You'll have a long wait. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court denied the appeal without accepting an argument and did so Per Curiam which means unanimously. It's dead, Jim.
This Pennsylvania decision does not say American born only American citizen that can mean American born or naturalized.
So American citizenship is toilet paper!
Sad to say but Obama has 14 Revolutionary War Patriot ancestors.
