It will be either Mitt the sh*t or Lying Ryan.
So the GOPe has clearly decided they would rather have Hillary than Cruz or Trump. Because they know that’s who will win if they nominate anyone other than those two.
The only other thing I see is Trump buying them off at the convention.
If Trump gets the 1237 required, and they try to pull this off, I see him offering them a very large sum of money if they bring the nomination for him foreward.
They will fold like cheap lawn chairs.
Pat is wrong again.
Motives do NOT dictate results.
If someone other than Trump or Cruz is put forth at the convention we will see the roof come off of the place.
The speculators suggesting the Delegates are open to taking instruction from ANYBODY are ill-informed and only promoting sensational theories to maintain some level of significance.
It is interesting to note that by convention time Cruz will have probably won at least 8 states and qualify under rule 40.
So by that time it would be between Trump and Cruz if neither had won it outright.
The Cruzites just can’t see that changing the rules says neither Trump non Cruz is going to get the nomination.
Duh.
I think Trump needs to explain this.
Also think he should let it be known straight up he is running against the current GOP establishment. Stop leaving an opening for them, they will come back after the convention.
A vote for Cruz is NOT A VOTE THAT WILL ELECT CRUZ.
Caddell is a Humphrey Democratic and although I don’t agree with his position on many issues-when it comes to polling and political insights he is one of the best. He said of the Romney presidential campaign in 2012-it was the worst campaign for president he had ever seen. Many of us on FR would agree!
The GOPe is using Cruz as their Trump slayer. Then when he gets to the convention by negating Trump, the GOPe will take issue with his citizenship liability and bail on Cruz.
That leaves the door open for the GOPe to re-introduce their selected candidate after they nullify rule 40.
It sure looks like it is headed that way. Kasich is an absolute a$$hole enabling this scenario too. He is probably shopping for secretery of interior or something equally stellar to match his abilities.
The whole circus is total entertainment for the dims.
I have always believed that the Establishment, if they threw in with Cruz, would be trying to use him to stop someone who was not an establishment guy. Where I disagree with many Trump supporters, is that Cruz is not in league with them. Also Caddell doesn’t account for Cruz actively seeking the nomination, it might be out of the establishments hands.
“Pat Caddell: GOP Establishment Using Cruz as Cats-Paw to Nominate an Establishment Figure”
I think he is correct.
