Trump would be least-popular major-party nominee in modern times
WaPo ^ | 03-31-2016 | Philip Rucker and Robert Costa

Posted on 03/31/2016 6:00:02 AM PDT by NRx

If Donald Trump secures the Republican presidential nomination, he would start the general election campaign as the least-popular candidate to represent either party in modern times.

Three-quarters of women view him unfavorably. So do nearly two-thirds of independents, 80 percent of young adults, 85 percent of Hispanics and nearly half of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents.

Those findings, tallied from Washington Post-ABC News polling, fuel Trump’s overall 67 percent unfavorable rating — making Trump more disliked than any major-party nominee in the 32 years the survey has been tracking candidates.

The more people the MSM and GOPe convince that Trump is the devil incarnate, the better the prospect of a Hillary presidency becomes. Don’t look to Cruz for salvation, they will do the same to him if he becomes the nominee...

As you probably know, Russia continues to this day arming and supporting hostile leftist regimes throughout Latin America. In fact, they are considering opening up military bases in Cuba.

How Russia arms America's southern neighbors

Ioan Grillo
May 9, 2014

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Russia's push into Ukraine has put many on edge. But less known is that Russia is also strengthening its military links south of the Rio Grande and re-establishing itself as a power in the region.

Vladimir Putin has been strengthening military links here, and Russia is now the largest arms dealer to governments in Latin America, surpassing the United States.

Russia has even floated the possibility of building new military bases in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, and putting its warships permanently in the Caribbean.

In the midst of the Ukraine crisis, Russia's top diplomat Sergei Lavrov recently visited Cuba, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua, where he announced that Russia would also pour money into the new Central American canal project. ..."

Russia Boosts Arms, Training for Leftist Latin Militaries

Moscow defense minister inks deals with Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua for joint exercises

BY: Bill Gertz
February 20, 2015

Russia agreed to provide military training for three leftist regimes in Latin America and increase military visits and exercises following a visit last week to the region by Moscow's Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, Pentagon officials said.

Shoygu met with defense and military leaders in Cuba, Venezuela, and Nicaragua and signed several agreements on warship visits and military training during the visit, which ran from Feb. 11 to 14. It is not clear whether any new arms deals were completed during the visit.

Defense officials said the Russian leader is seeking bases in the region for strategic bomber flights that Shoygu recently promised would include flights over the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean.

"50 years is enough , " Trump said in an interview with the Daily Caller published Tuesday, referring to Obama's decision to re-establish U.S. ties with Cuba.

"I think it's fine. I think it's fine, but we should have made a better deal," Trump added. " The concept of opening with Cuba is fine."

The imposter in this race is Ted Cruz, the fake Christian conservative who takes his marching orders from Mitt, Jeb, and their establishment overlords. The people we’re all trying to defeat are the same people Ted made his political bed with.

Trump is mean and nasty to just about everyone, particularly lifelong solid conservatives. The only person he seems to like and admire is that KGB/FSB thug who heads Russia.

Silly. He will go to the GOP convention with MORE votes than McLame or Romney. I haven’t gone back to W, but I’m betting Trump’s primary vote totals are easily the equal to Bush’s.

The Dems are terrified of him because he won’t fight fair.

As for Cruz or the Mailman, they would be crushed worse than Goldwater. Cruz could not win my state of OH, probably not FL or NC, so you’d be looking at a 2008 all over again at the very least.

Please, don't ever serve on a jury. You don't know the difference between innuendo and evidence. But don't let facts stop you from ranting mindlessly. Balance and objectivity is so overrated.

I completely agree. Too many people are looking for the ideologically pure candidate. The problem is that there isn’t one and and the two leading candidates in the GOP field are un-electable. It doesn’t matter how “right” you are, if you can’t win a general election.

It’s time people woke up and smelled the coffee. If we don’t pick someone other than Trump or Cruz at the convention we are going to get buried in November.

Since Trump has gotten millions more votes than the others at this point, and won the most states so far. It stands to reason that any of the others would be even more “less popular”.

Trump has gotten 37% of the total GOP vote so far. You see Trump's unpopularity when people are asked "Who would your second choice be?" His number is very low. It appears a large portion of those 63% that are voting for someone else don't care to switch their vote to him.
