First of all, what is the “madam” doing with a “visitor’s log”? Wouldn’t discretion and confidentiality be critical attributes in that industry? And having one is evidence of a crime. She should be in jail along with everyone on that list.
Of course, the primary reason prostitution of this sort is still illegal is for the occasional “gotcha” effect on politicians, especially if they are GOP.
Prostitution should be legalized. The only difference between prostitution and a lot of other relationships is that the financial aspects are specific and agreed upon beforehand. What 2 consenting adults do in private is their own business. At least that’s what “liberals” tell me.
(They also told me that if a married person is having an affair, that’s their own business, especially if it’s with an intern in their office and then lying about it under oath in a sexual harassment lawsuit.)
She’s dead.
“”She should be in jail along with everyone on that list.””
The article said, the “late” madam”....
She’s dead.
Hence, the description “the late madam”.
But I agree that it should be legalized.
She committed suicide after the conviction.
“First of all, what is the madam doing with a visitors log?’
Same story with the Mayflower Madam and Heidi Fleiss. I guess the thinking is one never knows when one might need that information.
The issue in this case is not legality but trust, character, and hypocrisy.
