Rush sounded almost depressed through his show today, taking call after call from Trumpers accusing him of being too pro-Cruz or Cruzers accusing him of being too pro-Trump. The guy can’t win for losing lately.
You hit the nail squarely. What strikes me as odd is allll of a sudden supposed conservatives now take issue over a man that makes money!! I mean seriously, some in here are sounding EXACTLY like DU trolls. Oooo that evil evil man who takes in the millions. I’m expecting to hear next they want their fair share.
No two have brought more respect and notice to the conservative movement than Rush and Levin. There are many I hear harping as pointless shills stating they do nothing....blah blah no action. Most have closed their ears or have never listened to a single program because if they had theyd know they bring awareness to what is going on in Government and by publicizing it has probably brought more action out of the masses in recent history than no other. In fact they make an observation and then a solution. From that not a single GOPe shill follows said solution. Thousands then flood the lines to place pressure on said Congresscritter.
These folks are bitter because if they aren’t stumping for “my guy” 24/7 he must be a RINO, he must be GOPe, he is a liberal etc etc. These are folks that live in the here and now with no real sense of strategy towards a long game. It’s all about instant gratification in today’s culture. Levin and Rush have been espousing across the airwaves conservative virtues for decades now. Reagan brought to light what conservatism is. Rush and Levin have made conservatism cool and honestly are probably the main champions to ensure it doesn’t die.

I sent Rush an email yesterday, and although I've been with him since August of 1988, I'm done with him {at least as long as I can stay off of drugs}. His whiny, ohhh, poor me, everybody blames me, so I won't give you my opinion. His whole show is opinion, WTF?

You’re right. He’s under stress. If what kind, I don’t know. I’ve heard rumors that Kathryn is ill, and is looking very bad. That might explain it. The “I like Marco” and “I like Lundsey” is grating, however. I just flip off the radio.

I believe Rush lives his audience, but he lives the prestige if his “friends” in the elite as well. He’s going to lose one or the other. And if he loses the trust of his audience, the elites will have no further use for him, and he’ll lose both. Faustian, no? Human nature being what it is, u think he’ll choose the elites over us.
IMO Rush is not a true Patriot or a Nationalist. He is classic stateless Libertarian through and through. IMO Libertarians are crazy in a lot of ways but the Libertarian philosophy overlaps conservatism in may cases so they are hard to detect.
