Can Trump become so unpopular that Democrats take back the House?
Washington comPost ^ | 3/30/16 | Paul Kane

It’s one of the most controversial things to say on Capitol Hill, sparking looks of shock and disbelief: The House majority is in play this fall.

For almost five years, ever since state legislatures and commissions finished drawing the new congressional districts for this decade, the Republican stranglehold on the House has been taken for granted because of the precise targeting that fortified GOP-held swing seats to seemingly withstand the toughest political climate. Even leading Democrats, just two months ago at their annual issues retreat in Baltimore, declined to predict anything close to winning the 30 seats they need in November to reclaim the majority.

Then Republicans started voting in their presidential primary, with Donald Trump taking a commanding lead.

That’s up to the GOP. They are he ones who attacked their own front runner and most of their base.

The Republican congress lost their own seats by betraying the people. They’re just looking for someone else to blame as usual.

You have that right! They’re looking for a scapegoat.

IMHO, if Trump is not the nominee, the downticket are risking the votes of the disgruntled Trump R voters who may stay home, or the D voters who will return to their own side of the ticket, regardless of who the Dem nominee is.

“Can Trump become so unpopular that Democrats take back the House?”

Unlikely, though not beyond the realm of possibility. The math is daunting. The Senate however is in serious jeopardy.

I really don’t want Trump to be President. But the thought of the looks on the faces of all of the “news” organizations on election night if Trump started to pull away and actually win would be so freakin awesome that I would have to root for him for that reason alone.

If that were truly possible the Compost would be campaigning for Trump.

I will vote against my lying despicable RINO jackass Congress critter by voting for the Libertarian in November. My Congress critter is Chair of the House Appropriations Committee, the body that passed the Obama Budget fully funding Abortionists and illegal aliens. He campaigned during our recent Primary as a “conservative” and opponent of Obama.

To hell with all lying RINOS! Go TRUMP.

Don’t worry, there’s no chance that the Freshman Senator Cruz will get elected president.

And nor will human toilet Hillary Clinton.

No. If the gop decides to shaft Trump, then all gop seats are in play. Trump supporters will go scorched earth and vote against all down ticket candidates. The gop will most likely be destroyed.

Good riddance.

Whatever happens in the presidential election, the House will remain GOP.

Senate is a toss up

If Trump is dumped, definitely lose the Senate and will lose some House seats.

GoPe created Trump, GoPe will pay the price, as will all of us.
