I never quite understood why we intervened in Libya in the first place, but that’s water under the bridge.
But I get confused about how liberals view these issues:
1. Bush had us overthrew a vicious ruthless dictator in Iraq, and liberals claim, among other things, that this destabilized the middle east and led to ISIS and other turmoil there today.
2. The Obama administration had us participate in overthrowing a vicious ruthless dictator in Libya, which had led to more instability in the middle east, and the creation of an Al Qaeda allied state in Libya. Yet this is ok with the liberals.
What are the liberal criteria for overthrowing dictators?? If a liberal president does it, then it’s ok, regardless of the consequences???? But if a conservative president does it, it is a crime against humanity, and everything that happens in that part of the world for the next 100 years will be blamed on actions of Bush????
