At a campaign event Monday in Wisconsin, Ted Cruz backer and former 2016 candidate Carly Fiorina steps in to deflect a question from a Daily Mail reporter asking about rumors reported by the National Enquirer about Ted Cruz's personal life.
DAILY MAIL REPORTER: Will you respond more definitively [than his previous denial, which was interestingly worded] to the story in the National Enquirer
CARLY FIORINA: If I may--
REPORTER: No, I'm sorry, I asked the senator that question.
FIORINA: I'm going to comment, okay?
REPORTER: Do you have first-hand knowledge of the senator's marriage?
FIORINA: I'm going to comment. This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trump's tune. Donald Trump is a serial philanderer, by his own admission. And in a week when we have had a terrorist attack in Brussels, a shooting at the Capitol, the president of the U.S. in the baseball stands with Raul Castro, and insisting he be photographed in front of a picture of Che Guevara with the two Castro brothers, we are talking about a scurrilous, ridiculous piece in the National Enquirer?

I would think and common sense tells you that cruz looked very weak from that. It should have been his wife next to him, not Fiorina who had a PAC supporting her receive 500 grand from a PAC supporting cruz.
Not very good at all for the optics, but also blaming Trump with no proof all the time reminded me of Obama blaming Bush all the time.
All Ted had to say was “yes, I’ve been faithful to my wife, I’ve never had a mistress or mistresses, nor an affair”
But he couldn’t do it. Why?

Hidden meaning there? Carly #9 or #10?
Carly is earning her keep. Cruz needed her a month ago... She doesn’t mind brawling. And it will allow him to stay above the fray when mud is being slinged.
And to believe that this is Cruz’s VP.
Quite a pair.
Ted hiding behind a woman? Carly supporting a man cheating on his wife?
Because there is nothing here, we see nothing other than "someone said, anonymous, probably, presumably, possibly........" yada, yada, yada!
If that's the best anyone, even Trump can put out, shut up and campaign and vote!!!
It ain’t mud if it turns out to be the truth. Cruz’ failure to simply deny the allegations and affirm that he’s been every bit the perfect Christian husband that his campaign has portrayed him as, speaks volumes.
More and more smoke, we’re gonna see the fire soon enough.

Is this story really getting national attention or just a mentioning? It gets a lot of play
on FR but that doesn’t always match what is being featured on the local news.
He better get used to it.
That’s all anybody wants to hear from him - did you cheat on your wife - yes or no.
This is critical information that people have a right to know before voting.
So, how about that $500k contribution last June???

I found it outright damning that Cruz looked that weak when confronted directly with the question. Guilt was written all over his face. And what’s more — he had to know that he would be asked about this, so he should have been more prepared.
The MSM seems to have a blackout on covering this too, even though it’s A TED CRUZ PRESS CONFERENCE.
The only link to the video I’ve seen is still PMSNBC, and it’s headline is something about Trump being terrible, of course. Politico has nothing on the front page except Trump bashing. Nothing on The Hill. Nothing on the networks.
They are bought-and-paid, in the tank to go easy on Cruz and destroy Trump. Everyone is on the “Trump hates women” marching orders.
I suspect this Cruz affair story broke before they were ready, and the very day after WI, it’s all they’ll talk about. But they don’t want to hurt Cruz’s chances there, because the entire American political and news media apparatus is terrified of Trump and united against him.
Another post indicates there were (2) $500k “donations” for total of $1 MILLION.
Maybe that's what the $500K is paying for.
Having Carly Fiorina’s mug in Teds tv interviews is not helping him.
