Arizona Republican Senator John McCain has branded himself as a maverick of Republican politics. For those who pay attention, such coy euphemisms as maverick betray a more-sinister label: turncoat.
Though he represents one of the most-conservative states in the union in the Senate, McCain consistently works against conservative issues. Though a supporter of defense spending, McCain continues to undermine Americas safety on the most-basic of issues.
What good is an extra F-18 or two if were consistently leaving the Southern border unsecured for the convenience of any illegal immigrant or Islamic terrorists who wish to enter the country without going through customs?
What good is an uptick in defense spending if we are receiving tens-of-thousands of unknown, unvetted people from regions seething with Islamic radicals?
Sen. McCains moderate positioning on these issues and many more is precisely the reason he is facing direct primary challenges this election. To shine a light on McCains consistent failings, his challenger, Arizona businessman Alex Meluskey, has released a scathing new ad highlighting McCains weak positions that endanger all Americans- not just those in Arizona.
The ad begins with a reminder that since 9-11, there have been 43 terrorist attacks on American soil. It discusses, specifically, the attack on Fort Hood by a radicalized American Muslim- a military doctor, Nidal Hasan.
The ad then jumps to a clip of McCain sitting beside fellow turncoat Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham as the Arizona senator urged bringing in more refugees from ISIS-controlled territories in the Middle East.
When pressed on who would vet these refugees, McCain laughably defended his position, saying, Well, first of all, Ive vetted a number of them because I know them.
The ad then makes a sobering point: the Islamic terrorist who killed 13 American soldiers at Fort Hood was an American citizen, a Major in the Army and a doctor. If we cannot adequately vet such a person, how can we expect to vet a flood of Muslim refugees coming to the U.S. when a forged Syrian passport goes for as little as $2,000 in Turkey?
We are running this ad because unlike other campaigns by political insiders and past candidates, we will not be afraid to call out John McCain on his disastrous foreign policy, Meluskey candidly declared. However he tries to mask it, he teamed up with Barack Obama to support the Muslim brotherhood in Egypt, and shares his view on the Syrian refugee issue. Now more than ever we have to stop the influx of radical Islamists into America.
Meluskey admits that he is hoping to challenge the establishment candidate in a way similarly seen in 2014 with moderate Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Though many had come to accept that entrenched, establishment politicians were a nuisance constituents must come to accept, conservative Dave Brats historic primary victory over the then-Majority Leader helped invigorate an electoral pushback against establishment politicians- political leaders who are in the business of merely staying in office, not attending to the needs of their constituents.
At a time when our allies in Europe are dealing with the effects of loose border and refugee policies, its time to prioritize Americas security needs and say no to establishment politicians who betray that principle.
Meluskeys ad is biting, sobering and truthful all at once and precisely the kind of discussion Americans need to be having this election cycle.

Heavy ho, McWacko has gotta go!
Never heard of this challenger! And I live in AZ.
That’s great, but methinks it’s a day late and a dollar short.
The damage he as done to this country is incalculable. And that’s just while in the Senate.
McCain is no here, as the media likes to paint him. There’s a reason why Vietnam vets in the know refer to him as ‘Songbird’. And get the real facts on the USS Forrestal.
‘here’ should be ‘hero’
I wish the good people of Arizona would finally see this Obama lapdog and ISIS supporter for what he truly is,
McCain bent his knee and fell on his sword for Obama, it was bizarre watching it happen in 2008 and then to watch Romney do the same thing four years later,
I wouldn’t put it past McCain to want to be on the shortlist for Hillary’s VP pick,
There are actually some on this website that think McCain is some kind of hero, cant imagine how they reconcile his appendage Lindsey?
Are there any other challengers to the aisle-hopping weasel and gang-of-eight amnesty fungus McCain? Anyone around whom the good Conservatives of Arizona might condense?
A valid challenger might even attract $$$ from out of state, one suspects.
Check out his website and see the issues for yourself.

I hope Trump endorses Meluskey once he wins his primary.
