Ted Cruz and the ‘Cuban Mistress Crisis’–
The National Enquirer published a story last week accusing Texas Senator Ted Cruz of multiple extramarital affairs.

On Friday Ted Cruz blamed Donald Trump and his former consultant Roger Stone for the National Enquirer article on his alleged extramarital affairs.

Ted Cruz Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin the story was “all lies.” Cruz then went on to blame the article on Donald Trump and his “henchmen.” Cruz argued Roger Stone has been forwarding the article today on the internet. He thinks Trump campaign is behind this story. Cruz also said the publisher of the National Enquirer is a friend of Donald Trump’s.

It seems sensible to limit the election campaign period but that is actually shortsighted.

Allowing a long election cycle allows candidates to be fully vetted such as John Edwards.

The problem is not the length of the campaign period, the problem is the media and its lies, its omissions, its spiking of stories that favor the democrats.

Ridger Stone worked on R Reagans elections since the 1970s till Reagans last election.

Ridger Stone is what is known as a mole. NASTY. He was instramental in getting Anderson? To run third party to split the ticket in one of those elections-I dont remember which one and dont care anymore.

What Stone did after, I dont know. I think he was on other campaigns later.

I actually got a drift of what was going on when the Trump camp hired as their spokes person the woman who had been employed by Cruz that has been named in this group
I do not use her name because I think she may be an innocent victim
When asked recently she denied having “an affair”. BUT that does not mean there wasn’t a sexually improper situation
At the time Trump hired her there was much chatter on line. She was accused of stalking Cruz etc. Her reputation was being purposely trashed. Several people who knew her came to her defense. Something was going on. Had she complained of sexual harassment, had she witnessed improper behavior or just said no to a bosses advances ????
We will probably never know. But I believe her when she said she did not have an affair. But I also think she has knowledge that included her into the improper behavior of TC

Oh, I’ve read it’s video of them leaving maybe arriving but not of them inside. I don’t like Cruz and think we need Trump but so far haven’t heard of proof on this scandal.

What did Cruz say that it was “categorically false” or something to this effect? So what does that mean? Really it could mean anything. That Cruz only had 2 affairs instead of 5, or dozen or more affair instead of 5. Yeah “categorically false” and lawyer speak.

Cruz suing would lead to court discovery, which I doubt that he wants.

As a parent, and I’m sure Trump got the same advice, not only do you not do bad things, but you try not to have the appearance of doing bad things. Whether Cruz is innocent or guilty, this thing with Amanda Carpenter, the tattoo, the coat, having lunch together what ever...doesn’t look good.

I agree that the election cycle is way too long, but I clearly remember the seemingly daily “ bimbo eruptions “ of the Bubba Clinton days and I have absolutely no desire to have a repeat. This would not have come to light in a short cycle.

When Lee Hamikton was our representative one of my friends worked for him. He wouldn’t even allow female staff member to ride in same vehicle with him alone in case someone saw them together He didn’t want his wife whom he dearly loved and cherished to endure any pain

The odds of a successful defamation lawsuit by a public figure are slim and none. The NE covered themselves by digitizing the images of the women and blacking out their eyes.

THis is SOP for a smear piece and Rogr Sotne is well aware of how this works. STone is lying through his teeth and he knows it.

The fools believe this.

Yep, it’s all innuendo and allusions with no actual assertions of fact.

Character assassination in ints purest form, done on behalf of sales first of all, and as a bonus, a favor to a friend.

Astute. Very astute. In general, with perhaps a statistical significance, people that seek the public eye/approval seek validation regardless of source.

All Lyin' Ted had to do was to explicitly declare that the article is false, that he has never cheated on his wife, and that his lawyers will immediately seek legal recourse. He did not.

===========

All Lyin' Ted had to do was to explicitly declare that the article is false

He did just that, explicitly and unambiguously.

...that he has never cheated on his wife...

No, he should not do that since the allegation is not that he cheated on his wife at some unknown time and place with some unspecified persons. He only needs to refute the allegation as made, and he has done that unambiguously. See above.

...and that his lawyers will immediately seek legal recourse.

Maybe, maybe not. Ted Cruz is a public figure and the bar is so high for a lawsuit for slander against a public person, it's hardly worth the expense. When you add to that the the NE never actually makes any factual assertion in its article, but only repeats rumors, innuendo and unsubstantiated dirt passed on from who knows where and who knows who (are you listening Roger Stone?), successfully suing the NE for slander against a public person is very problematic.

It is odd and ironic in fact that it is Trump who has proposed tightening up the slander laws to make it easier for public persons to defend themselves against this sort of crap. And CRAP it surely is.

,

I am not anti-Cruz, because how bad can someone be really that wants to get rid of the IRS; however, he is lying here.

He said on National TV on Easter that Trump decided to attack Heidi to hide Trump’s Foreign Policy gaffes.

Well, there is a smoking gun, a March 8th appearance on FOX where a Cruz operative says - I think we need to stop talking about the Men in this race - and start talking about the Women, we need to look at Heidi versus Trump’s naked Foreign wife.

Now that’s what happened, there is Video - it was on Neil Cavutto. The Media knows this. Hell, FOX know this.

Cruz thought it was a winning strategy to talk about Heidi versus the Trump’s (naked, foreign) wife - and Cruz is lying directly through his teeth to sanctimoniously saying Wives and Women should be left out of this. Cruz also claimed Megyn Candy Crowley should be off-limits!

Unfortunately, the evidence says Ted Cruz is a Liar.

I believe Cruz decided that if Trump, responded, he would do the indignant Hillary Clinton thing - HOW DARE YOU! And the Media would chase Trump like junk yard dogs.

Don’t call me names - just explain the March 8th video from Cavutto where someone speaking for the Cruz camp - said the media discussion should really be Pure Heidi of the driven snow versus the naked Foreign wife - and no more talk of the men.
.

There’s a video apparently that’s been referred to as ‘the thing.’

Fortunately it’s NOT a sex tape.

It is a tape of Cruz entering hotels and restaurants with a young lady. Regularly.

Again, this is innuendo. Proves nothing.
