I do not know anything about this guy. Some Generals seem decent enough and others turn out to be surprisingly leftist in their views once they make them known.

Arrgggh, this is not the discussion I intended to generate. I am curious to know about the author of this piece, the general in question, and how this process would work, if it’s even possible.

In the beginning I liked every one of them and thought any of them would do - had to a winner.

Now - I am completely disillusioned.

The author says that the general would have to be persuaded to run, but they always say that about people to make them appear humble.
