Syrian militias armed by different parts of the U.S. war machine have begun to fight each other on the plains between the besieged city of Aleppo and the Turkish border, highlighting how little control U.S. intelligence officers and military planners have over the groups they have financed and trained in the bitter five-year-old civil war.

Notice that in the first sentence the LA Times used that far-left phrase "the U.S. war machine".

Of course, it would be much more accurate to say that the different militias were armed by the Obama administration. But I guess the Times editors just missed that one.

US troops shouldn’t be fighting for any of the Muslim sects. They all hate us. The real threat to us is right here with Islam in the US. Ban Islam in US, deport Muslims, bring US troops home and put on our borders, institute a “pet the pig” requirement to board a plane or enter the country.

Let the Muslim factions fight with each other as long as they want. Getting non-Muslims out of there should be our only mission.
