The last few days I have been trying to track down this information that first appeared on twitter. Not believing a random twitter post that Jeff Roe secured the rights to the pic I searched in vain with no luck as to being able to verify the information.
I wrote GQ, CondeNast, WrightMedia, Corey Lewandowski and Rodger Stone with the question. No answer from anyone yet. Though with Corey and Rodger it was through twitter and I imagine they don't have time to go through all their messages. As for the others--Its the Easter weekend so I would have to wait until next week to verify
But in the above Trump this morning alludes to the fact that the Cruz Campaign got the rights to the picture. No doubt Trump called the photographer who is reported consulting an attorney. From Hollywood reporter:
"I never gave any approval for this image to be used anywhere else but GQ in the U.K. It puts me in a very weird situation as I have to protect my intellectual property and the privacy of Melania Trump," the photographer says, adding that he's already talking to his attorney. "I don't want those pictures to be used in certain ways which are inappropriate." --Antoine Verglas Photographer
If Trump's allegation is correct, The Cruz Campaign secured the photo of Melania and illegally passed it to another PAC to be used in the manner it was used. BOOM! The Cruz Campaign lied and continues to lie...Lyin' Ted..
Fare worse than that it's felonious collusion. Somebody could go to jail.
And maybe pretty soon.......sued Ted, if the photographer gets lawyered up.
Mail service from Moldova per goat driver must suck, eh?
"I never gave any approval for this image to be used anywhere else but GQ in the U.K. It puts me in a very weird situation as I have to protect my intellectual property and the privacy of Melania Trump," the photographer says..."
Such a noble knave, isn't he? This is just laughable.
There are plenty of slutty pictures of Trumps wife out there to choose from.
If this guy cared so much about Melania's privacy he never would have sold the pix to GQ. I mean, what did he expect a men's magazine to do with them anyway?
I think he's secretly praying that Trump doesn't destroy him
FReegards!
Trump and Cruz have only shown me that niether one of them has the character or integrity to serve as President. In saying this neither does Hillary. So in November, it’s choose your crook. I will just stay home and weep for this nation.
Did you contact the lady who originally made the claim to have proof from GQ, that it was Cruz’s campaign who ordered the photo?
She claimed to have the proof, and to have posted it three times, with Twitter deleting the posts each time b/c someone was complaining.
She claimed to be posting the proof again-what I saw, didn’t seem to confirm it. I may not have understood what she provided.
Waiting for the PROOF.
We have lots of innuendo, hearsay, gossip, slander, rumor, and just made up nonsense being passed along as news these days.
Cruz claims he and his people did not provide the picture. He denied knowing of anyone on his team communicating with Make America Awesome. He denounced the ad.
Even if this was done by his campaign manager without Cruz’s knowledge or approval, an apology will not be enough. In his own words, accountability starts at the top.
On the other hand, Trump is hearing things. That’s not good enough. Produce evidence. I want to base my support on the facts.
I have been for Cruz and Trump since the beginning. Very disappointed in how this primary is playing out. Glad that the two most anti-GOPe are the leading two candidates. Sad that the two can’t get along and be civil.
Trump is staying out of it..
he commented, and left it at that on Friday
He should be a gentleman and send Heidi a bouquet of condolence flowers...
All Trump has to say, is “this is between Ted and his wife”
And Cruz attackers her and insinuated she is a slut. FUTC.
One thing about all of this is, it reminds me of why political spouses are important to look at. Trump has had a few wives, but all of them look a good deal happier and less snarly than Mrs. Cruz does, and they aren’t evil bankers who plot ways to cede us with Mexico and Canada!
GQ must hate Trump in order to do this without having a care for Melania. I guess GQ is looking to go the way of Macy’s and Fox’s ratings.
"Intellectual" is as intellectual does. Well, OK. Let's leave it at that. Not a big deal.
On the other hand, Melania's picture was on the cover of this bleeping magazine and yet we gotta be concerned about her privacy?
What's the world coming to? Give me a break.
It's not like they were private and hacked from a phone or stolen in a burglary.
If anyone doesn't think "The Witch" wasn't going to use them in the general if Trump is the nominee then they don't know the clintons.
Better they come out now and be old news by Nov.
