The family of an Israeli soldier now under investigation after shooting a wounded terrorist has filed a complaint with the police after receiving death threats.
Relatives of the soldier reported that a man with a discernibly Arabic accent called them on Saturday, making threatening statements and revealing private information about the family.
On Thursday, two terrorists attacked an IDF soldier station in Hevron, stabbing him in the upper torso. Both terrorists were neutralized.
As the wounded soldier was being carried away by paramedics, one of the neutralized terrorists began to move, leading several people at the scene to express concern. The terrorist was wearing a heavy sweater despite the hot weather, often a tell-tale sign of a concealed explosive device.
One soldier fired a single shot at the terrorist, killing him. The soldier involved in the incident claimed that he feared the terrorist was carrying a suicide bomb belt and was attempting to activate it.
The incident was recorded by an Arab activist in the BTselem organization. A video, filmed at a distance and lacking audio, was released by the group, showing the soldier firing at the terrorist.
A second video, however, filmed on the scene and including audio, lends some credence to the soldiers claim that he feared the terrorist was carrying an explosive device.

We have to give the scumbag credit for attacking soldiers and not 70 year old ladies like they usually do.
Fortunately, the soldiers were alert enough to kill the scum, though 1 soldier was stabbed.
The soldier shoots the scum again for a confirmed kill.
Moral? Just? Europe can no longer judge the IDF and the State of Israel who have been dealing with terror while they pacified the terrorists for decades.
The soldier's family live in the town of Ramle, a town who's residents are mixed, both Arab Muslim, Arab Christian and Jewish. It is the classic “coexistence” city.
Now the family is getting death threats but from whom? Even Ramle has seen a stabbing attempt.
So, why should a scum terrorist make it alive to the hospital? This means he will be cared for by Israeli doctors. Money will be invested to save his miserable and scummy life. He will sit in a prison until the next “prisoner exchange” deal takes place, then he will go free, get a stipend from the PLO, have all his needs taken care of and then he will sharpen yet another blade with which to slit another Jew's throat, later on, down the road in the future.
The soldier who finished him off deserves a medal, not an incarceration.
For those of you who thionk this view is immoral, just wait for these scum to come after you, in your cities, your towns, your countries like they are BEGINNING TO DO all over Europe. Then, you will know the rage that every Israeli citizen feels for the slaughter inflicted upon them (every day) by the Arabs...
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. The man had a jacket full of skittles to distribute after he did his stabbing thing. This is Arabian hospitality. You always offer food to the paramedics after an unsuccessful stabbing, as respect for a worthy opponent. So he acted honorably, except that he didn’t get to distribute the skittles. Now his whole family has got to be threatened, or the stabbers family is dishonored. This makes perfect sense, provided that you are an Arab.
It is frightening when watching this coverage in Belgium to see the police masking their identities with those covers over their lower faces; on top of that they cancelled their rally against “fear” out of fear. This is similar to Colombia’s bloody war with the cartels (that dragged on for decades); law enforcement was specifically targeted, and faceless, nameless units were the most effective.
When cops have to hide their identities, the law & order have lost.
If the IDF is on the ball, they should use a situation like this to set a trap. That is, discreetly move the soldier and his family in to a much better home in a more secure area, then rig the old home as a trap for jihadis. If needed, even put the soldier and family into a witness protection program
When they show up to murder, instead of making an issue of it, arresting them and putting them on trial, just “disappear” them. Give them a nice, deep, unmarked grave out in the desert. Maybe throw in a dead pig to keep them company in Hell.
Hiding your cop’s or soldier’s identities has more to do with preventing the media from exposing law enforcement personnel than protecting them from the actual terrorists.
One can argue that the media in many cases, does the INTEL gathering work FOR the terrorists.
It’s not such a bad idea.
Great idea!!
I understand the purpose, though the media protecting their identities is exactly in line with my original sentiment: They have to protect their law enforcement personnel from “bad guys”. The concept is bizarre and defeatist; if you saw our law enforcement doing their jobs like this you would rightfully be terrified.
The terrorist just targeted a nuclear plant worker in Belgium. I expect they will now target other individuals as well. Concealing the identities of people at risk, like police and special forces is necessary.
I understand the reasoning; it just reeks of defeatism and acceptance of the terror as the status quo (indicating they will never be deporting their Muslims, and accept their criminal propensities).
