That’d be problematic since for all the talk of “garbage” and how offended he and his family are, he hasn’t yet come right out and said he didn’t have sex with these women.
Amanda Carpenter’s sister-in-law has come out publicly and admitted that the allegations about her are true. And just six years ago, Nasty Mandy herself was praising the National Enquirer when it was breaking the John Edwards mistress story.

This person also said that Trump’s campaign was a source for the article: “His campaign provided information that was used,” he explained.”
Two named sources to one unnamed source. But Cruz’s denials are sacrosanct.
Cruz was just jealous that Rubio had a “Gang of 8” and he didn’t.
Rubio’s camp was shopping this story to the media for quite some time, it appears. Even going as far as sending some of them video evidence and then having his campaign manager advise via Twitter that ‘those in possession of ‘The Thing’ should not be worried about legal reprucussions’ - offering tactics to hide the discovery.

Trump, unlike Calgary Ted, is an engaging guy who has a lot of friends. It would not surprise me if he was at least on friendly terms with many publishers of major publications, perhaps even friends for years. Trump and the company both say Trump had nothing to do with this. It seems to me this is just more typical Cruz deflection. Nothing is ever Calgary Ted’s own fault. It is always either the “poison pill” excuse or somebody doing him dirty.
