A CBS News/New York Times poll in October found that 57 percent of registered women voters had an unfavorable view of Trump. Now, it's up to 63 percent.

But it's a very different story among women who vote in Republican primaries. Trump is leading with 41 percent, followed by Cruz at 27 and John Kasich at 23 percent.

Steelfish, sincerely, how can Cruz win the general election, when he failed to get 20% of the REPUBLICAN primary vote in the key battleground states of Ohio, Florida, and Virginia, and failed to carry a single state in the south, with the exception of his home state?

Yet he keeps winning elections. How do you explain that. Maybe your polls aren’t so accurate.

Republicans make up about a third of the voters. Trump has picked up 37% of them in the primaries. Romney got 52% of GOP primary voters and it didn't translate into a General election win. There seems to be that plateau that Trump has reached which is troubling for a general election victory.
